I am buying a new truck (Ford F-250) and like my last vehicles, I will actually have to wash it myself! Before, I would use some car soap I found at wal mart. What is the best way to take care of my clear coat? Thx for the help!

if you don't want to spend several hours washing your car just click the "learn" button at the top of the page. start off with that way then modify to suit your needs (ie big truck). you should always use the two bucket method.

you have also been pm'd!

Two important things when washing, a good soap and mitt. I like Z7 for a wash with good lubricity and this mitt.

Then dry with either absorber, chamois, or waffle weav MF.

I forgot the most important thing, only use the high-qualtiy wool mitt on paint and a different mitt for everything else, trim, tires, wheels, etc.
