Hi, I am trying to find the best possilbe towel (MF or whatever) that dries the best and fastest.

So far I have not be able find anything that lives up to its hype.

Please make recommendation.

Thanks

I've tried all of them from A-Z... the best to date towel that I have found works best is the new "water magnet " towel by meguiars.

I do like the Pakshaks myself, but also those by Sonus and the big yellow ones from Excel have performed very well.

What exactly is it about the towels that you've tried that's leaving you wanting?

I find a combination of 2 types of towel materials and weave works best and quickest for me.

Initial wipe is performed with a 100% plush terry cotton towel followed by a WW MF ( ExcelDetail ).

I like my pakshak WWs too, but I tried Meguiars new water magnet, which is a tad smaller and it seems to work even better, maybe becouse it's new.

I have the blue waffles and they are awful. It takes two of them to dry a 911. Something wrong with that.

Thanks for the information so far.

Sorry but the 25 x 36 pakshak blue waffle drying towel is massive and can easily dry a whole car no problem, it can dry my whole car without become saturated no problem, maybe you're not rinsing off your car properly (no offense)? Definately not awful, I've tried many, many different drying towels and the Pakshak is by far the best.

I have had issues sometimes with WW's not absorbing anymore, but I think it may be a result of built-up residue on the towels (from being washed with wax/polish towels?). I think I may pull all my WW's out for their own intense washing.

That said, I haven't had a loss of drying capability with my yellow Excel towels or Sonus towels... *shrug*

I wash my WW's seperatly.

For my BMW 5 series, I'll use my megs WW towel first, then when that starts to leave water behind, ill take out my poorboys blue WW, and do the rest. Then take another poorboys blue WW, and clean up areas that I may have missed.

I can use anywhere from 3-4 towels on my car.

I noticed that my towels would streak when I first used them, so I would wash them 2 times before using them to get any oils out.

RonDon- I do not have the big one- maybe that is the problem. I know how to rinse a car - you flood it with the nozle off and make the water sheet.

Thanks for the help.

as of now, i'm using the big blue microtex mf drying towel from walmart and it works great! it's very plush and it stacks up to the megs, cobra, and other ww towels i have, but this is more gentle and i don't have to worry about scratching/marring. can't beat it for around $7. :up

Another vote for the Big Blue II towel. I use the Little Blue for windshields, windows, and mirrors. :xyxthumbs

I must admit I have only tried aquatouch tricot weave and the Pakshak WW and honestly, I do prefer the pakshak, killer stuff.

But in coming weeks I will be trying sonus's ultimate yellow and concourse towels

The amount of people giving thumbs up to excel tells me that pat's stuff is great too.
