Best sealent on silver?

New member
New car has arrived - 05 Astra in star silver which is a light colour(metallic/CC silver) and I have the following sealants. My goal has to be durability over ultimate looks as the car is a heavily used daily driver.



AG twins (SRP/EGP)

EX

EX-P

NXT

Glanz Wax



Or should I consider something else? I'm set on using Signature as a LSP when the weather improves.



Pics will be posted this weekend fingers crossed - it's currently so filthy you can't read the rear number plate (and car's only covered 750-odd miles:(!!!)

Either UPP, EX-P, or Wolfgang all look great on light metallics, especially when layered and topped with Signauture 2 or 3 times! I would be curious to how the Autoglym would look when topped with a few coats of Signature. I am not a huge fan of NXT or Glanz Wax they never stood out in a field of great products.
 
Yes. Four Star from premiumautocare.com. Very glossy, deep, reflective, and the paste glaz will make the paint sparkle like heck.
 
i think it matters what you want to get out of your silver. ive noticed that EX-P and UPP give a softer look for silver, but for me, zaino gives just a really nice shine with less depth. personally, i like to go with silver because i dont really expect to see reflections in silver anyway.
 
Congrats on the new ride! Iâ€â„¢d go with either EX-P or Glanz. I've never seen metallic flakes pop like a kaleidoscope with anything other than GW. Glanz will shine like a champ, but appears a little flat. EX-P will add much more depth and gloss. In terms of durability, both are as tough as nails. Iâ€â„¢ll second the EX-P/GW bid.

Klasse twins are my fav on silver also. EXP looks great as well. i would lay down some AIO first, then top with SG or EXP. good luck.



also, "best" is a relative term.

I like Zaino but my fave is AIO topped with P21S. Brings out the flake on my car big time.



EX-P on mtodde's car looks awesome as well.
 
Zaino Z-2 Pro is probably going to outclass everything you've listed. It looks great on silver, and it lasts!! But all of us have our own favorites, and most agree that the prep is 95% of the final result. Good luck, and do give Z-2 PRO a shot down the line. You will wish you'd switched sooner.
