Best sealant??

What's the best sealant out there?? I thought NXT is the best so I said NXT hands down in a post but after reading what people said about it today, I was a bit up sad :(. Here's what I can think of, I never tried any of these products, just the experience I heard by other autopians. Klasse SG, sounds pretty good but hard to remove. Zaino Z2, very nice but $9 shipping of a $20 product seems to be putting me back(so I won't get it). BF, seems pretty in the review, thought about it just today. #20, doesn't see much people here using it . Platnium UPP, I dunno, looks pretty good when Scottwax used it. Glaze wax, sounds like a good wax and seems to have nice results but don't see much people using it here. Nu finish :D!!!! HAHAHAHA, whatever :D. I want something that can last for about 6 months or a year and leaves a nice wet look that has depth. That's all the good sealants I can think of, if you think NXT is as good as the ones above, I don't mine trying it but I don't want to use consumer product where as others using pro line product, sounds like I'm one of those guys who relies on Canadian Tire too much :sosad

(I'll use 1z PP and MP as polish btw)

No offence but... why don't you wait until you've tried at least one sealant product yourself before you try to give other people advice on what to use or what is "best".

Actually that thread I was talking about was my thread. Let's not hijack this thread(me, not you ;) ), any more opinion??

What's so hard about wipe on, wipe off ???

There will never be a definitive 'best' sealant. Some like one thing and some like another. The same as food, drink, fashion, music, etc, it's all down to personal experiance and what you, yourself, like.

As for NXT it's way too early to judge it. All the other products you mentioned have been tried and tested over several years of summer and winter. We need to know how NXT performs with all the variables of summer/winter and garaged/outside 24/7, before it can be judged properly. Even then, there will be those who like it and those that don't, the same as every other product.

If everybody that tried it went 'wow that stuffs great' then that would be the first time in history :)

I have used Zaino and currently have it onthe car .. and I am experimenting with Klasse right now and in 40 Deg ( 5C) temp I am finding the WOO method working great. The $9 on the $20 shipping I think was my post referring to mail surcharges on a Menzerna polish shipment .. Zaino isn't $20 .. not even close. My Zaino was bought in Canada.. and not cheap.

I can only offer my opinion on Zaino and Klasse. I've used Zaino for over a year now and have been happy with it. It is a bit painful to get a perfectly clean surface before applying and worrying about which products will affect Z from bonding. The look is great on light colors but a bit "bright" on dark colors. Z5 seems to be richer and deeper on dark colors.

I've only had limited time with Klasse (about a week). It's very easy to use. I've used pretty much all the methods in this forum for SG. The waiting method is good, I didn't end up with the infamous haze. The two towel method works decently, but I have a feeling I was just reapplying it since I still see some on the surface. The WOO method is probably the best out of the three. So far, I've been happy with Klasse. The look is definately different from Zaino, more of a carnauba look. I'm a little dissapointed with the slickness of Klasse though. It's slick, but not Zaino slick.

I haven't found the perfect one yet, but here goes:

Klasse twins: Very durable, good shine, a bit sterile on its own, but works extremely well with carnauba toppers. A tough combination to beat; Mayor Dave's "perfect shine" combo.

Zaino: Very glassy look (almost like a new coat of clear), incredibly durable, and nothing beats it on slickness. Lacks depth and tends to mar easily.

Blackfire: Hands down best for metallic paints (IMO). These paints tend to "glow" after applying BF. Sometimes earns its nickname "Smearfire". Nothing else attracts dust like this product after the initial application (thanks to silicone, which Zaino and Klasse don't use), but this problem goes away with time and washings.

UPP and NXT: haven't tried them yet.

Hope this helps!

I really struggle calling EX a sealant. It has the durability of a carnauba and is loaded with oils!

Steve is testing a 'pure sealant' version of EX. I've had good results with EX w/Carnauba myself. Still feeling slick and beading nicely on a black Tundra I waxed back in October...and the guy has an 80 mile commute.

I am currently testing Klasse AIO/SG on a couple of vehicles, after a bit more than a month, both feel slick and bead very well, and same with a couple cars with AIO/UPP.

A product I feel gets very little attention is Winner's Choice Polymer Finshing Creme. Very easy to use, very slick and beads at least 3 months (which was when I rewaxed). Closer in look to SG than UPP, IMO.

NXT? Only time will tell.

How about 1z Glaze wax?? No comment on that one on the last 9 post ?? I will be using 1z PP and MP so will Glaze wax be a good choice for LSP(wait, then my car is full of 1z products :D)??

Anyone?? I want to get something like this (see below) but with the durability of a sealant. I try to advoid carnuba wax since I have to wax every month or so and that's not a thing I want to do every month ;)

Unless you paint your silver Volvo black, you won't get it. Sorry. You'll also have to take the picture under the Santa Barbara sun and palm trees.

No, you guys don't get it, I'm getting a black car 2 weeks later so that's why I showed you that picture.

You could wax your car with mayonaise and still get killer reflections on a black car. Maybe I'm not understanding you all the way. Are you looking for durability or for looks? Or both? I don't believe that there is a "best" product out there, but I do believe that everybody has their preferences. I prefer different sealants at different times of the year and on different cars. I would suggest owning one of each and trying them all.

I'm not saying it's the best but I've used and like both Klasse and Blackfire. Hopefully my NXT gets here tomorrow and I can play around with that next weekend. Blackfire was very easy to use and so was the Klasse. I apply which ever I'm using and then clean the interior. By the time I'm done the sealant wipes right off.:)
