Best product for the money?

Since there are so many different products and product lines available I was wondering what others thought were the best products for the money? I like to know a little bit about a product beofre I buy them since I have bought several in the past that just didn't work out as they claimed. I've used expensive waxes in the past but I know that a lot of the cheaper products will do almost the same thing and aea really great, I'm just not sure which ones to try. I figured that since the BF contest was going on that now would be the best time to get others feedback on their favorite products. My favorite one that I have used so far would be Collinite 845. It's really cheap at less than $15 a bottle, goes a long way, and really last a long time. I learned about in b y reading the forums or I never would have tried it in the first place.

Megs QID is a great value. Megs 120, too. All of the CG shampoos but especially CG CWC by the gallon, at the moment.

This is a difficult question to answer because of the shear number of products available today and how they perform with different users.

Collinite 845 is one of those gems that certainly rises to the top! :bigups

Meguiar's

Meguiar's has both professional and consumer lines. They are also one of the oldest names in the business and as an example their Ultimate Compound and Swirl-X are two great choices that can be purchased locally and won't break the bank.

Blackfire

Blackfire has a nice selection of products that work really well. Two from this line that give outstanding results are:

BLACKFIRE Scratch Resistant Clear Compound
Blackfire SRC Finishing Polish

Duragloss
is another line that offers a nice selection of products that perform well and leave some money in your pocket..

The one product that really surprised me was Collinite 845. The stuff is amazing regardless of cost.

I would say Duragloss products offer the best bang for the buck overall of the many many products I have tried/used. As far as machine polishes go Menzerna is my favorite but admittedly I haven't tried any of the new microfiber pad style polishes......I found what works for me and stuck with it. It's easy to get hooked on "flavor of the month" products as I have shelves full of them but no longer do that.

On a bang for the buck basis I would say Meguiars D120 glass cleaner. One gallon of concentrate makes another 10 gallons of product for around twenty bucks. And the best thing is it works great. A win/win deal.

Tried few different products but you can not beat colonite 845 for looks, ease to use and price. Nothing comes close. If it was double the price it's still worth it.

I will add that Megs Hyper Dressing and Optimum Car Wash are great products at a good price.

Heh, not singling out anyone, just offering a different perspective - 845 is a great product, and the first wax I bought based on all the recommendations I read, but on certain colors, I don't particularly like the bright, reflective look it has, and while it's easy to use, there are products that are easier (it can difficult if applied too thickly, and I've had 845 sweat on me, too). It has a place in my arsenal, but I'd rather use, say, BFWD rather 845 in most cases.

32 oz Optimim Tire Bond - dilute it 1:1 with no decrease in effectiveness....good stuff

I hear alot about this product, and Optimum is one of my favorite brands...how is the shine on this? I like a lot of shine, but don't like sling.

interesting, becasue the same thing happens with collonite boat wax (same as 845) with certain colors...red and pastels for me...what colors are you seeing this with?

Red in my case - too bright for my taste, makes my car look somewhat pinkish at certain angles. I do like how it looks on white, though.

Same here, and I could swear I get more spotting with 845 in rainy weather.
But the 476.. is definitely a bang for the buck.

That's something I've experienced as well - I've gotten pretty bad spotting with 845. Best product I've tried, with regards to resisting spotting, so far, has been Opti-Seal. UQW is pretty good, BFWD is middle of the road, and strangely enough, OCW spots a lot worse than Opti-Seal. Worst spotting I've gotten, though, has been with Klasse, which I found surprising, given it's reputation for durability.

Funny how 476 would be different from 845 in this regard, given how Collinite says that 845 is just a liquid version of 476...

i still think blackfire wet diamond all finish paint protection is my favorite value. very easy on & easy off, beautiful finish, and a little goes a long way during application. all that with the reasonable cost and it gets my vote !

I haven't noticed spotting with the 845 yet, I'll have to keep a look out for that. I will say that it throws water off like nobodies business when it's raining and I see very large water beads. As for the opti-seal, I first used it this summer, and I couldn't believe the beading it produced. for such a simple and thin product I didn't expect it at all.
