OTC: Mother's Aluminum Polish or Flitz Metal Polish (Ace Hardware).
I prefer Flitz, but it's harder to find. Most Auto Parts stores will carry the Mothers.

For the best reflections (chrome-like) I fully recommend Mothers Billet polish. A couple applications makes a big difference over just one. Don't rub hard, rub longer. :bigups
If you're looking for a less expensive alternative, but *almost* as good a look, I'd go with Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish. Close results, but not quite as Mirror-like as Billet.

My favorite metal polish is Zephyr Pro 40 Perfection Metal Polish.

I'm going with FUZZ on this one I have used Zephyr Pro 40 for the last few years and have not found anything that I like beter. PAC has it for sale but that's not over the counter as you asked. The billet cream sugggested is a good over the counter buy.
