Best place to get a PC polisher from?

Another vote for Lowe's. If you sign up on their website, I think they'll mail you 10% off coupons every once in a while. I've gotten a couple coupons in the past year, and they come in pretty handy.

I checked lowes.com for a pc product, but the only thing i could dig up from porter-cable, etc., were sanders... no tools that mentioned polishing... is it the same tool just with pads etc. instead of sand paper? dumb question i know, but i'm new at this... :)

I would check out the spnosor sites. I know auto geek have a great pbs pack amonst others. I would recomend them. You can get everything you need. And on everything but a few things you can use the dc dicoutn code. (I think the pc is off limits with the code but pads arnt)

If you are going to use the PC a lot, I would consider buying it from Meg's because it comes with a life time guarantee. Granted, your entry cost is a lot higher, but it's worth it if you're a heavy user (IMO). I've already replaced mine (I paid for mine twice).

That looks like the 7336 but not sure what the SP means. It will work, but you'll have to pick up a backing plate and pads

7336 Sander/Polisher. It comes with an adhesive style sanding plate, and a white polishing pad. It costs almost exactly the same, if you include tax, as buying it from one of the sponsors that sell it for $129.00, free shipping, and the 10% DC discount. I BELIEVE that the 7224 now comes standard with the 6" counterweight, so, in effect, the 7336 and 7224 are EXACTLY the same unit except the 7224 does not come with a sanding backer.

I'm not responsible for erroneous information, but I beieve the above to be true.

Can I get the plate and pads at Lowe's also, or an autoparts store, or do i have to order them online?

That would have to be an online order or if your lucky enough to have a paint supply store or meguiars distributor nearby you could check there.

Looking for most accessories, pads, sale price, etc.

We have a Slim's Power Tools here, don't know if they're a chain-store or not. $99.00 for the 7336. I got the pads (EDGE) and adapter from AG.
