Best PC Package Money Not Important?

"Best deal" is kind of like "best wax".:)
Both kits contain a lot of products and for me, it is kind of like buying a set of wrenches or drill bits. Lots of things I may not need, but the package may very well be less expensive than buying everything individually.
FWIW, I went the individual item route and have no real regrets about my choice.
One thing I did do that I think I might do differently is my choice of pads. The Edge 2K system wasn't available at that time and I have a Velcro backing plate and lots of Velcro pads.
The Edge system seems like it would have some advantages with the only disadvantage being restricted to using only the Edge pads. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I do like having lots of choices with the Velcro pads available.
Since the cost evidently isn't a big factor to you, maybe a combination of the Edge system and pads plus a Velcro backing plate and some Velcro pads could be an alternative. You could have the best of both worlds by simply unsrewing the adaptor and screwing on the backing plate.

I personally don't have any cutting pads or MF bonnets and have never felt the need for them. Polishing pads and finishing pads seem to cover everything I do as a hobby detailer. For the professional, that might not be the case.

I ordered the Porter Cable HK-7424 kit and then order a couple of blue pads and a couple of yellow pads. I bought the polishes and waxes locally.

Both of the kits are great and worth every penny. As Charles said they are both different. If I were to do it all over again I'd probably shoot for the Poorboys kit but the Edge kit would be better suited. If you choose the Edge kit, you have the PC and all of the pads necessary. From then on you can pick or choose the polishes and sealants you want to use with them. I would highly suggest purchasing some Poorboy's products, great stuff. There are many other products that you can buy later on but the PC and Pads are probably the best things to get right off the bat.

thanx for all your help guys the edge kit does look pormising

I already have the zaino kit but will be looking for some polishes

Since you say money is not a deciding factor I would say buy individual pieces that way you can get exactly what you want not what you must accept in the kit. The problem with kits is you always wind up with some thing that you didn't need or didn't want.
I bought my PC from Lowe's for $99.00 then bought what pads I wanted and it cost me less than these kits.
