what's it gonna be, synthetic or not? What are the pros and cons to each? I haven't yet decided if I'm gonna use synthetic or carnuaba wax and hoping this may give me some clarity. I've read if you want to go carnuaba then use the GEPC and the AIO if you're going synthetic. Is this true?

I said this before and I'll say it again... Or you can just delete your thread again and I'll say it yet again.

AIO and DACP are not even in the same class of product. AIO is a cleaner and DACP is an abrasive swirl remover. You can't compare them. If you are cleaning your paint then I would say AIO is the one you should use. If you are removing swirls and you have a machine then you should use DACP. They are not even comparable products in my opinion. You are comparing apples to oranges. DACP is not used for paint cleaning and AIO is not used for swirls.

umm, I messed up the previous thread because all of the damn acronyms I've been trying to remeber. If you look at the title of this thread it is comparing GEPC to AIO and not DAPC. Sorry for any confusion.

As far as I know, both products are very mild. You can use either AIO or GEPC if you go carnauba, but GEPC is (generally) used only under a carnauba to stick to a simple explaination. AIO usually precedes SG but seems to be a good base for most products (including other synthetics).

BTW, if you're doing some polishing to remove swirls/oxidation/whatever beforehand, you don't really need a separte "paint cleaning" step. Paint "cleaners" are poorly named IMO. People more often just use GEPC or AIO as very fine polishes or as a base for the wax/sealant.
