Best MF For Z-8 Removal?

There has been some recent discussions here about removing Z-8 and some other rather expensive spray sealants and spray waxes using a less absorbant mf towel. The idea is to limit the wasting of costly product. The problem is that most mf towels are plush and absorbant, at least the ones I own.

So which MF is recommended for Z-8 Grand Finale, Menzerna's High Gloss Acrylic Shield and Pinnacle's Crystal Mist?

As you work yourself around the vehicle most QD's require less product per panel because of the amount of QD that has been absorbed into the MF is also being applied. Strictly speaking very little product is wasted.

Ideally, the best means of conserving product is to use a misting sprayer. This really aids in my amount of Z8 usage to the point where one bottle can last me about 6 months detailing my Full-size SUV and C5. Z8 is quite concentrated so a couple of misting per panel and maybe 6 misting for the hood will supply a good application.

There are two factors to consider in a towel when it comes to liquids (QD, glass cleaners, etc) and they are absorbency and wicking rate. The more important one is the wicking rate. You can have a very absorbent fabic that wicks slowly or one that wicks fast. The best is one that has a slow wicking rate, the trick is to apply the product and wipe quickly so that it is evenly and thoroughly spread on the surface. You then fold the towel and wipe slowly to absorb excess, not too fast, just a slow even pace.

I always use a DF towel or one of DavidB's CBTs for Z8. The only thing I really don't like about the CBT is that when folded evenly, it tends to slip on itself and not stay in a neat square like other MF towels.
