Best Leather Brush?

I have read all the great things that Klasse products can do but find no references to Liquid Glass. LG is a similar cross linking acrylic polymer which can be layered. It seems that it can also be used on glass similar to RainX. I was just wondering how it compares to Klasse AIO or SG...

I have also tried the LG Pre-cleaner and find it much easier to use than Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion with similar excellent results.

Liquid Glass is good stuff. The edge Klasse AIO has on it is that AIO contains cleaners in it, therefore eliminating the need to use a precleaner. The shine that SG gives to the paint is a bit better than that of Liquid glass, IMHO. But overall Liquid glass is good stuff.

Look here and here for a couple of threads in the archives that discuss LG (check out the forum search engine, very useful). I've used Liquid Glass in the past, but have since switched to Zaino . . . LG shined nicely and seemed to be long-lasting, but it generated a good deal of residue during removal, and was a huge dust magnet for 3-4 days after application.

There are probably more threads out there that touch on LG; I just snagged a couple of obvious ones from the search results.

HTH,

I looked through the archives and found no mention about the LG Pre-cleaner. I tried the Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing lotion and found it fairly difficult to remove. The Liquid Glass pre-cleaner was nearly effortless to remove and seemed to produce as good if not better results. Are these products essentially interchangeable? If so, I would be inclined to continue using the LG Pre-cleaner even though I would use a different topping than LG.

Yeah, initially the Pinnacle lotion was a product that was difficult for me to remove. However, I then just used thinner coats and sometimes use quick detailer in its removal. Thick Charisma towels help out in the buffing process. Laters.

I need a good brush to scrub leather seats with, when using my leather shampoo/cleaner. Anyone have any suggestions? I've used just regular vinyl bristled brushes, but they never seem to get the shampoo lathered up like it should be.

Thanks in advance.

I personally never use a leather brush, I just prefer to use a well broken in microfiber sponge to clean the leather, I feel you can dig into the pores really well with a flat MF sponge or applicator opposed to scrubbing.

Just me though.

Well, that's what I did on my last detail as well and it seemed to work okay. It was hard to tell what it would do on leather that was REALLY dirty though, this was a pretty clean SUV with less than 10K miles on it, so it was relatively clean.

Do you feel like you can really scrub the dirt out with it?

Thanks!

Havent needed a brush yet, done some bad interiors but nothing crazy. Just feel like you can only go so aggressive with a brush, but with an MF pad you can really dig into the pores and not worry about it.

Again this is just me, im odd and do things differently from normal people...

I just bought this one from PAC. It has short natural bristles... lathers very well.

It's small and fits easily in your hand... and it's only 3 bucks!

This one works great for leather/dashes/door panels that are in decent shape to begin with. You can buy 3 of these for the price of one Swissvax leather brush.

HOWEVER, on surfaces with more soiling, I feel the Swissvax brush does a little better job at getting things 100%. I keep both brushes on hand.

If you need a leather brush quickly and do not want to wait to have one purchased online, go to a decent department store that sells some name brand leather shoes. Leather brushes for leather shoes are quite gentle in my opinion. The leather used on shoes are sometimes less rugged than leather seating surfaces. I have a pair of Hugo Boss shoes that I clean with a $6 leather brush. A decent leather shoe brush is very gentle to the touch, but the bristles are stiff enough to offer some good scrubbing power.

As mentioned, microfiber is still a good idea. Even the worst quality microfiber towel is still very very gentle on leather. Leather brush, although very gentle, just doesn't feel right when used to scrub on delicate leather surfaces. My opinion.

Very nice suggestion, thank you very much. I'm going to find something this week, I have a GMC Sierra in two weeks that has that two tone leather with the really light inset and it needs some brightening up.

Wow, great suggestion!!!

I personally use the brush mentioned above (3 dollars) for pretty much everything. I have a nylon bristle brush for heavily soiled areas.

After seeing the Swissvax leather brush for $11.95, I went to my local grocery store and picked up a Kiwi shoe leather brush for $2.95. I believe the Kiwi brush is a little larger than the Swissvax, but uses horsehair so it is very gentle and will not scratch. The Kiwi brush works well for me, but I have not actually used the Swissvax so maybe someone who has could comment on the actual differences.
