Best Hose Nozzle??

With spring approaching I am in the market for a new hose nozzle. I have heard good things about the Ultimate Hose Nozzle. I actually saw Nick of Adams Polishes using it in his detailing video. It seemed to put out a good deal of water with nice pressure.

Is this nozzle really worth it or should I stick with a good handle/trigger type? I saw a Ultimate Hose Nozzle knock off at Walmart for like $5.00.

Any one have any experiences with these???

I have one that I got for Christmas, and I love it. It looks like a fire hose end, and it twists for various types of water streams, from a spray to a sharp stream and has awesome pressure when you need it. The one I got looks like a very nice one, it's heavy and surrounded by a thick rubber coating. Anyway, I love it. It even makes washing the driveway a breeze from the added pressure.

It has a definite, quality construction with a rubber end to ease any concern about it bumping and scratching fender lips.

i bought the craftsman one from sears for $20, and it has a lifetime guarantee! break it/something goes wrong... take it back and they give you a new one. that easy. :up

I bought the Wal-Mart firehose nozzle & have not had a problem with it. I added a brass check-valve with a lever that I can operate with my thumb that gives me easy-on/easy off with a 90* flick of the lever while maintaining the flow setting that I want.

The nozzle is encased in rubber to protect against accidents & does not leak a drop. When it's off, it's off & I can't imagine a nozzle at 3 or 4 times the price doing any better.

I got the unit from Home Depot. Make sure you have good water pressure, otherwise it just kinda pisses....not much fun on a windy day. ;)

Construction: very high quality

i would have bought one of the less expensive ones (i'm sure they're all pretty much equal). but... having the lifetime warranty on it is piece of mind, even if it's my fault for breaking it. :D

Quote: I may give the one at Walmart a try first. Its only $5. Then again you get what you pay for.

True words, quality is expensive, lack of quality results in a 'cheap'

product.

I bought the Wal-Mart nozzle because I wanted something to put on the end of a hose to deliver water ..... nothing more. A lifetime warranty is good to have but I'm wasn't looking for a long-term relationship, not to mention trying to retain every receipt becomes cumbersome.

If it comes in contact with the car, I'm looking for top quality products and/or components but a lifetime guarantee on a nozzle would not constitute a "make it or break it" decision point for me.

I've used it for about 10 months with no problems and it does everything I expect it to do from a 40ft stream to a flood. There are no visible plastic parts that I can see & the addition of the check valve makes it a complete nozzle package for me.

I don't think Sears requires reciepts on their lifetime warranty products. As long as it has the Craftsman logo, you're all set. At least that's the way it works with their handtools.

I had eyeballed a firehose nozzle at Target a couple weeks ago for $7 (on clearance from $10). But I think I'd opt for one from Sears with a lifetime warranty for $20. Seems like I go through a nozzle every year or two due to freezing or dropping or whatever, so a lifetime warranty is definitely welcomed - especially when replacement isn't a hassle at Sears. I guess I'm willing to pay for peace of mind. If the current nozzle has problems I'll probably get the firehose nozzle from Sears.

I do like the Sears warranty. I saw a guy returning a hose last year for a replacement, I never considered that their hoses would offer that. Anyway, he had brought the whole hose in with him, but a manager told him all he had to do was cut off one of the ends that said Craftsman on it, rather than bring in the whole hose.

I was looking at the Wal-Mart nozzle a week or so back, and after the review by NYV6Coupe I think I'll pick one up, it's hard to go wrong for 5 bucks.

i have the one from pep boys prolly the same as the walmart one and i havent had any complaints about it so far... Its been about 3 months now i believe. For 5 bucks, if it breaks after a year, ill buy another, o darn... I spend 3 times that much on a can a wax... Damn expensive hobby...

I also have the Ultimate Hose nozzle from Home Depot. It is much better than the trigger types and is very well constructed-highly recommended.

I have the Ultimate from Bonair. Costco had them at $14.95 and it was the best $15. I have spent. It has a strong jet and a open flood. Also it's just about indestructable.

For all of you that already have one of these, and for the ones who are about to get one. Don't forget to buy a shut off valve to go before the nozzle (brass if possible) to save you a LOT of time from having to twist the nozzle on and off 100 times. This way you can keep your spray setting and shut it off with a simple 1/4 turn on the shut off valve. They sell these at Sears, Lowes, and Home Depot.
