everytime i wash my car, there are hard water marks in the window that wont come out, what can i use that will take them out. they really show if the light hits it right, its disgusting. i know its not from the inside because i've cleaned it from the inside before with some windex.

I like to use Stoner's Invisble Glass to clean glass.

If you have baked waterspots, you may need to use a glass polish, etc. to remove them.

Ditto. Stoner's for me as well, good stuff.

Stoners has been good to me.

Fiancee's brother gave me some (I believe it was) Eagle glass cleaner that comes in the same style of spray bottle as the Invisible Glass. That stuff works just as well, and since I got it free, I use it on the outside of my windows, and the IG on the inside :)

I used Klass AIO to get rid of some waterspots that that Stoners, NXT and Sprayway wouldn't touch, also I've used some Blitz glass polish to help diminish water spots that had etched into the glass.

Been using NXT Glass and Stoners. On stubborn water spots that vinegar and AIO did nothing for, Glass Scrub by Glass Science and Autoglym Glass Polish have worked really well. Both non-abrasive chemical cleaners. Glass Scrub is applied after washing and before drying and works really well. Autoglym takes more effort, but works really well also. For Autoglym, I recommend a plush cotton towel over MF.

I was about to try 0000 steel wool before I found the Glass Scrub. I also have the DP Glass Restorer to try as well. But I highly recommend Glass Scrub for stubborn water spots on glass. It's available locally for me and from CMA.

stoners is good but wont move those spots whatsoever imo, you need a glass polish, or compound. never used steel wool before.

I'll add one for Stoner's, it's been my go-to glass cleaner ever since I got it a while ago. If there's stuff that it won't get, I've had good luck with clay to remove water spots, etc. If the spots have been sitting there a while, then they might have etched the glass and you would need some kind of polish to get them out.

There are products on the market that are strickly designed to remove hard water spots and acid rain on windows, purchase it and use it and your done. Just do not use it on paint, the products have pumise stone in it and can damage the paint. And do not use the spot remover with steel wool it can score your windows. Read the directions on the label and stick to it. There are other methods of using the product for great results-for your windows, but that requires buffers and other more complex methods. If you stick with the labeled directions you'll be fine. And, you can use the product on chrome, works great actually.

Things that do not work.

Alcohol

Steel Wool

Clay Bar

Buffing Cream

Peanut butter

Window Cleaner especially wind-x

Vinager....

list goes on and on, purchase the hard water stain remover for glass.

i use a plastics polish. one u would use on your plastic headlights and tail lights. off hand i dont remember the name, its sold at autozone.
