Best Convertible Top Cleaner available locally?

Hey!!

I need to get a convertible top cleaner asap, so have to shop locally (need it this weekend - no time to wait for shipping).

I've read the posts on good cleaners, and made a list for future reference (like Amazing Roll Off, 303, etc), but what I need to know is if any are available at local stores like Auto Zone, Advanced Auto (which I doubt - no decent detailing supplies at all!), Walmart, Target, etc.

If the best cleaners aren't available at local stores, maybe you can suggest 2nd best? :D

TIA!!!

For 303, might try a boat marina. They always seem to have a good stock of it in. Otherwise, here in MI, I got my 303 from Murray's Discount Auto parts.

Order from CMA today ( this AM) and it will be in Ga on Friday. I ordered some products yesterday (8/6) and they will be in Va tomorrow(8/8). CMA is excellent about getting orders out the same day if ordered in AM. :xyxthumbs

I use Amazing Roll-off and this product is very good. Really deep cleans my canvas top. No discoloration, degradation of protectant or visible harm to fabric.

Locally one can normally find the Porsche brand top cleaner at a Porsche dealer. It is highly recommended.

Hey V4M,

If you have a Porsche dealer near you, they will have the products that Brad, and a few others rave about. I had a customer who had a Boxter S, he insisted that I use the cleaner and conditioner that came with the car. They were aerosol and they left a nice, smooth matte finish. I think they are around $20 a bottle.

Otherwise like sc said 303 is avalible at most marina supply places.

Thanks, guys!

I think I'll try ordering from CMA if they can get it here that fast!! Now I just have to decide between ARO & 303!! (No decent marina supplies around here, tho I could check in Atlanta) :xyxthumbs

What about buying from Auto Detail? They're in Cumming and might let you pick it up.

Check out www.autodetail.com . Or call Melissa at 1-800-964-8711.

If you go to Atlanta maybe check out Avril's Auto Appearance locations. There are a few around town. Don't know if they have anything specifically for convertibles but I've seen stuff like P21S and other good brands there. Worth a look if you're in the neighborhood.

Mother's makes a specific Convertible Top Cleaner (forget exact name). Don't know anything about it, but I can get it pretty easily where I am.

I didn't realize Auto Detail was in Cumming!! Oh well, at least I know that for future reference!

I went ahead and ordered from CMA - and UPS is supposed to deliver Friday! Love that speedy shipping!! :up

I think most BMW (car) dealers will carry a BMW-branded soft top cleaner.

I know many really like the Porsche product available from CMA. That's what I have sitting in my basement but never have needed to use it...yet.

Brad B had me ScotchGuard the soft top on our '02 CiC and that has done an amazing job of protecting the fabric. All I do is rinse during the car's weekly washing and it is spotlessly clean afterwards.:xyxthumbs

Nice and easy. Ya can't beat that!
