Best auto wax ever!

I am new to this, but I own an auto detail shop in Florida. I have been using SUPERGLAZE from thewaxshop for many years. It is now discontinued and hard to find.
Believe me, it's worth the try. It is well known in many shops, and better then any thing else i have used.
Give me your comments if you have used it.
Thank's!

Are you only comparing it to the industrial shop products, or the enthusiast boutique products? Is this a paste or a liquid? Before anyone is going to want to try it, I think a few more details about the product would be helpful. What else have you compared it to and what exactly makes it the 'best auto wax ever'?

It's been around for years and can still be found several places.
I have used it and don't remember it being anything special. It evidently didn't impress me enough to buy it a second time.
As I remember it, I was using Meguiar's Medallion Premium Paint Protection at the time and the Super Glaze was much lower priced. I went back to the Medallion even though it was more money.

Typically the cheapest product out there isn't always the most effective. There are cases where that isn't correct, but when you are saying that it was cheaper than something that is already pretty cheap, I'd have to raise an eyebrow. Why did they discontinue it? Did the company go out of business, or did they replace it with something else?

I have a bottle of Super glaze liquid wax.
I have had it for several years used it once set it on the shelf and their it sits.
It works ok but IMO it is far from the best I have ever used.

As Larry A said, TW bought the company. From what I've read, they "tweaked" the formula a bit. Sales didn't go so good. They brought in the original guy to try to boost sales. Line was discontinued either last year or 2 years ago.
Also, from what I've read, the original ("better") formula was heavily based on some strong solvents, so maybe it wouldn't be VOC compliant today.

The original formula seemed to be a favorite among rodders, I think.

Where was it distributed through? Was it a consumer grade product?
It was an OTC product sold at a lot of auto parts stores. I don't remember if it was a Target and Wal*Mart item or not.
Personally, I wasn't impressed with it, but if you want to buy some, do a Google search and you should come up with at least a 1/2 dozen places where you can still buy the stuff.

To say the wax is "fantastic" is one thing, but to say it is the "Best auto wax ever!" is over-kill.
To make such a claim, you'd have have tried all the other wax products out there to know whether "SUPERGLAZE" is the "BEST EVER". beside the fact that no one knows who you are.

Yep, TurtleWax bought it and, for whatever reason, discontinued it.

Back in the late 80'S - middle 90'S, it gained ALOT of popularity in the StreetRod arena, mainly because it left no white, powdery residue.

Bingo! ...and not all products have the same reaction to surfaces.

Perhaps it was the best wax he has ever used...saying a wax is the best ever is a matter of opinion, in his opinion to him its better then anything he has used.

Also what does it matter if no one knows who he is??? Couldn't the same be said when you joined boasting that you could have a 100% customer satisfied wash in 5 minutes? No one knew you at the time...

I think there is just a better way of not agreeing with someone other then taking a negative posture.

It's apparent that some members seem to rub other members the wrong way and most of it is how they choose their words. I will say that being brand new to a forum and immediately posting a thread like this is going to raise eyebrows especially when you state where they can find it.

What makes this thread a bit fishy to me is that this product is being discontiued and this person happens to live in the same area as the location where the ebay listing is shipping from.:hmmm:

Plus if you are a pro detailer and you love a product that is being discontinued, would you tell everyone where the last bottles of the stuff can be purchased? I would think you would keep that info to yourself. Is this enough evidence to consider someone a shill? I'm thinking yes but I could be wrong.

Shills give themselves away when they 'strike and fade'. The OP hasn't been back to answer questions or provide any further input since he posted this. He posted in a few other threads and has been on the boards since, but he doesn't say anything. He may not be a duck, but he walks like one, and quacks like one, so I've got some suspicions....

I understand that, its just when you have someone accusing someone else of making a claim and saying no one knows who they are, when that same person made a claim very similar about a process rather then a product...

I just think it could have been written a bit nicer...just my two cents...
