Besides shine-why apply rubber protectant twice

I keep reading about RonK and others talking about applying water based protectans twice, do the resins get better coverage, last longer? I can understand a manufacurer recomending this (use more product:) ), but is it beneficial to apply more than once? Thanks.

Can't see it being to get you to use more material. Valugard's (Ron K's) protectant spreads easily and you use very little especially on that second coat. Maybe they think we all need more gloss he-he.

I noticed that when I was using BM semi-gloss if I just sprayed some onto hard plastic and let it dry, it was glossier and looked much better, comparable to 303 but then I think it buffed off...I didn't buff it off though and it worked fine.

On a related note, would allowing part of a water-based protectant to evaporate result in a more concentrated solution and thus better protection and appearance?

Ooh, a new smiley :) :bow
