Bella Machina Mentioned in AutoWeek

Hey folks, TH0001, who's one of the more distinguished members here, got some nice recognition in the Feb. 23 issue of AutoWeek :xyxthumbs

Some other pros who are familiar around here got mentioned as well (e.g. Superior Shine).

Nice to see credit given where credit is due.

BigJimZ28- Ah, I was late to the party :o

Thanks for posting that link to the earlier thread, I'd missed it somehow (also missed the other Autopians I don't know by name).

I'm new to Autopia (not to detailing my car) and not a pro but I have admired work done by the pros here especially TH0001 and the others mentioned in the article. Well done! Thank to all of you for posting great advice and answering questions for the less experienced enthusiasts.

:2thumbs:

TH0001, I am sorry you feel that way. You're one of the best I have seen here so far (in spite of recent events). You are truly a resource.

:2thumbs::2thumbs:

Very impressive! A few of the guys here are really kicking it up a notch or TWO !!

Todd, it's great you get some recognition for your exceptional efforts and beautiful documentation :up :up :up

It was great to see Todd, Rick, and Josh get a bit of a special mention in AW. I can probably speak for all of us that were listed though by saying that we're really excited and honored to be in there.

There are many, many talented detailers on Autopia, and we could have filled an entire page with them!

Congrats to everybody that made it and even people who didn't (but much deserved to!) as this may better educate the consumer that autopian level detailers do exist.

I will be taking a vacation (volunteery banning) for 60 days for my role in the 'no need to mention the name' thread, from the forum so this will be my last post for a while. I'll miss you guys! And thanks congrats to everybody :D

Congrats on making Autoweek. I am confused on your 60 day vacation though. Autopia is lucky to have you as a resource.

Thanks! David and I spoke in PM's and at one point he asked (politely I might add, we had a nice, respectful discussion and like I said earlier, I am comfortable with the decision. My discussions with David where top-notch and I have more respect for him then previous even) if I would be willing to volunteer for a 60 day time out. He is in a tough position.

I am slightly confused as well, so perhaps David decided otherwise. Again he asked if I was willing to volunteer vs. that I was for sure going to. Either ways I am cool, running a business such as this is as tough as it comes to making difficult decisions which may upset some members but will better for the website as a whole (i.e, I'd rather disagree with a decision but still have a forum to visit, vs. not have a forum at all because difficult decisions where not made and lead to further problems).

Thank for all the compliments on the getting the write-up. I honestly did nothing to deserve this and was just as shocked as anybody when I recieved an email from the magazine. I was given the honor of selecting a 'few' other detailers. To my knowledge I was one of three originally selected and was going to be the feature, the other two being Joe Fernandez and Rick Nelson (rickrack). I honestly am not a feature when compared to those two and was glad when the second idea and used layout was given. The article was researched on this forum among others, so I really have you guys to thank for the kind words said in my write ups, and the support and education this forum has given me.

My original list (25 other autopians) was a little large and had several people in same areas. Hell I recommended 3 others in Florida, lol. The list was cut down based on location, I wasn't sure who got cut or what not.

My understanding was the original article was going to have specific write-up articles, myself for washing, Rick for polishing, and Joe for something else. Then I recieved a call from the writer who said there was a last minute change and I woud we would featured along side a Meguiar article (or something like that. I still haven't seen the whole thing).

Anyways while it is cool for those mentioned, so many more people deserved this, I hope that maybe on a small scale it helps people recognize what quality detailing is. You guys rock!
