Before I Zaino...

I was wondering if I should use a paint cleaner before I start applying my Zain. I have Z1, Z2, Z5, and the Z18 clay bar(I am ordering the Z6 too). Would my best bet be to use the cleaner and then use the bar to get any areas I feel are still contaminated, or should I just use the clay bar, and go from there? My car has less than 1000 miles on it, and the paint feels very smooth. Any input is appreciated.

Before you clay, the Zaino directions tell you to "Dawn-wash" the car, Then Dawn-wash again after claying, The Dawn-Clay-Dawn will clean the surface of any residues, contaminents, etc.

Now your are ready for Z-1 Polish-Lok.

Be sure you don't wipe it off. Just let it dry thoroughly and then apply the Z-2.

Very thin coats. When I Z-1 / Z-2, you can barely see the haze on the car. I feel that the thinner the polish-coat is, the shinier the surface will be.

You can polish up to 10 times for a deeper shine (using Z-6 between coats).

I have found 3 coats to be more than enough.........

My car is in car-shows all summer long and the Z-2 / Z-6 combination definately draws the WOW's!!!

I've been asked over a dozen times if it was a custom paint-job.....

For your basically new car with 1000 miles, a dawn wash and claying should be all the pre zaino prep you need. For claying I like to use a mix of Z7 and water in a spray bottle.

Pretty much what he said.....

Inspect paint for swirls though......if you have any then you may want to use abrasive products to remove them as ZAINO will not remove them.....
