Been using Zaino Z7 wash, but looking for something better

Since I don't have much Z7 wash left over, I think I'm going to try something else. This stuff does not last too long at all if you wash your car every week. Not to mention, I was not really all that impressed with it. It was better than OTC brands I guess. It did not create a lot of suds on the finish while washing like I hoped it would, even when using 3 caps fulls for every gallon of water in my bucket (so around 15 caps for my 5 gallon bucket).

What do you all reccomend for a wash that creates lots of suds and lubricity, and also does a good job at cleaning?

I'd say you are using way too much, we use a cap or two per two gallons. Not to mention not even a full cap in the foam gun, foams for days.

Nxt and 901 are great for otc, but neither have the suds z7 does. It'll cost you less though.

If you're looking for serious foam, great lubricity, great scent and great cleaning, then you've got to try Detailer's Pride Extreme Foam with a foam gun. I did side by side comparisons with a few of the most popular washes talked about here and nothing even came close to DP. Best of all, it's on sale at Auto Geek right now so I just bought a gallon. It's that good. :D

So you fill your 5 Gal bucket to the top?...Why?

That's wierd, everytime I use Z7 it suds like crazy. I use like 5 cap fulls for 3 gallons. I think it's a really great cleaning soap.

I however did not have any luck with the 901 though, but it was cheap. I guess the different water has a lot to do with it.

I'll have to try some of that Patrick. I remember when you told me about how great it was.

It seemed like a lot to me too, but I was just going by the labeling on the bottle which says 2-3 caps per gallon.

I actually have a sample bottle I received from autogeek, but never used it. I didn't know if it would be any good or not, but I liked the minty smell. I may use some next wash.

Not completely to the top, but close. Because I use a lot of wash water while washing my car.:nixweiss

I think water quality plays the biggest role in how a carwash performs. Z7, Griots, 901 are all good washes.

Agreed. Buy the one that's most cost effective and enjoy.

Meguiar's Detailer Line Shampoo Plus...it has very good cleaning power and decent on the suds but has a great finish...cheap too..15 for a gallon for 1 ounce every gallon of water.

Chemical Guy's Citrus Wash is good too IMO
