I've got an '07 Toyota FJ Cruiser - Black Diamond Mica, and I'm looking to take better care of it. After looking through this forum for the last month, I easily realized how much harm I was doing to the paint job. I don't have many deep scratches but I can see in the sunlight all of the swirl marks I've created from my normal wash and wax routine. I've never used a clay bar or a proper polish, and I had never heard of grit guards.
Just lurking for a month has increased my knowledge 10X, and I feel like this spring I'll be much better prepared to take proper care of the interior and exterior of the FJ.
My shopping list is getting pretty long. I'm really looking forward to the first nice saturday of the spring!
I don't have any current pics but this was one of the better ones I have after the first wash I gave it two years ago.
