Love the 303 protectant. Thanks guys for turning me on to this product. Does the 303 Fiber Guard add any sheen to your canvas tops or just increased water proofing?

Also is the spray bottle dispenser better. The 303 protectant sprayer really stinks. . A small price to pay for a good product.:bounce
 
I have used the 303 Fabric Guard on my cloth top and there was absolutely no change in color after application.



I will add, however, that I was not that impressed with the performance of the product, and I think that come Springtime I will be trying the RaggTopp product line instead.
 
Have you looked into the CMA products like the Porsche protectant or Renovo. Any comments. I know that Raggtop will probably be our best decision but would like to support this web site if their products are just as good.:)

P.S. that Vette sound really nice ... Triple Ruby Red :up :up
 
makes an excellent cloth top shampoo, and that is what I use on my cloth top. I have found it to be very mild, effective at cleaning, and does not alter the color of the top. I have not used the Porsche Protectant, but now that you mention it, I think that I will add that to my bag of tricks as well.:)



It is very important to me personally to take extreme care of my cloth top...they are no longer produced. :( The car is a limited production car that was made to honor the 40th Anniversary of the Corvette, and the factory cloth top color is Ruby Red. Yes, it is nice, but it has it's drawbacks when it comes to finding limited production parts. :down



Can't comment on the Renovo line, haven't tried it.



PS - I know that you didn't ask about drying the cloth top after washing, but I have found the Absorber to do an excellent job at pulling the water out of the top - just wanted to share that. :D
 
You just made a good point about out- of- production parts. Maybe I should be thinking about purchasing a factory replacement within the next year or so because the f-body is in its last year of production. My top is in excellent shape ( no fade or worn spots... garage queen ) but this is a keeper for fun in the future. Very perplexing. I would hate to have to replace in 10 years with an after-market part. :(. So many things to consider when you have a keeper. :confused:
 
Anyone here watch Battle of the Super Cars on the Speed Channel? I started watching it recently, and am now hooked. They take 2 super cars each week and run them through their paces to see which one comes on top.

There are some awesome cars on this show:drool5:

I haven't seen it yet Barry, but I will be sure to check it out. What cars have competed and which have won, if you remember?

They recently had a Gumpert Apollo vs. some US kit car with an LS engine, I can't remember it's name. Either way, the Apollo destroyed it! :wink:
 
Some of the challenges that I can remember are:
Bently Supersports vs. Astin Martin DBS
GT Malan vs. Gumpert Apollo
Corvette ZR-1 vs. Dodge Viper SRT-10
Fastlane Camaro vs. Shelby GT
Porsche GT3RS vs. Ferrari F430
Nissan GTR vs. Porsche 977 TT

I don't remember who won all of them, but you can catch them online as well. With all the car guys on line here, I am sure that most of you will getr a big kick out of this.

Barry -- they also did a Cadillac CTS-V vs a Mercedes E63 AMG. Awesome show!!!
 
cool show, i stumbled across this when surfing the channels trying to find something to watch. for you MMA fans (stumbled across this as well), there is Bellator which comes on thursday IIRC...
