Käfer (in German aka "beetle") designed by Ferdinand Porsche

IMG_1170.JPG

champion of all champion

with the record of longest-running and most-manufactured car of a single design platform, worldwide.

The People's Car"

In 1931, Ferdinand Porsche developed the Porsche Type 12, or "Auto für Jedermann" (car for everybody) for Zündapp

Volkswagen (aka, "people's car" in German)

IMG_1168.JPG

the Beetle was more comfortable and powerful than most European small cars, having been designed for sustained high speed on the Autobahn, being the top seller in US

IMG_1112.JPG

The engine must be powerful enough for rapid sustained cruising on Germany’s new Autobahnen

some adds on

IMG_1113.JPG

Everything must be designed to ensure worn out parts could be quickly and inexpensively exchanged. The engine must be air-cooled because, as Hitler explained, not every country doctor had his own garage

"The engine fires up immediately without a choke. It has tolerable road-handling and is economical to maintain. Although a small car, the engine has great elasticity and gave the feeling of better output than its small nominal size."

gore by Zoro sword???

IMG_1164.JPG

the owner had the choice between buying a Porsche or rebuilding his 3rd beetle.....and many of the parts imported in from US, his children loves this than a Porsche .....as it might not fit them in.....
