i need to detail my freinds one year old black car but it's

front end is covered with bugs from his long road trips.

the bugs are baked on and washing won't get them off.

my EF bug/tar really doesn't do much for them either.

any suggestions?

paint cleanser?

AIO didn't do too much. i'd have to use a bunch of elbow grease and i'm

afraid that i might scratch the paint.

thanks for any help.

BTW, the Porsche spray looks to be identical to CW1:100 - Insect Remover from Dr. O.K. Wack Chemie GmbH (or P21S in the USA).

Does anyone know the part# for the Porsche Insect remover? The reason for asking is because I would like to pick this up locally, but the parts counter guy has never heard of this stuff, and needs a part#. If not I will order from CMA.

For the really bad bug spots I'll mix up some soapy water (usually use dawn but car soap will work too) and use pretty warm water. I'll then soak a sponge in the water and hold it on the bug guts for awhile. It'll soften them up and you can wash it off quickly with you wash mit.

I use Laundry Dryer sheets. Get em wet, (It seems the less water the better) and just start wiping the buggy area. Let it set for a few minutes, then rinse. Doesn't seem to bother the wax either.
