Bad Clay????

I re-used my clay on a newly wax car ( 1 week old wax). I washed the car carefully and use the clay. I ran into a problem. The clay sticked and left a "clay mark" on the paint. I tried to describe the best as I can. The clay was not dirty. Again, it didn't leave scratch. It left a "white clay mark" on the paint. Did anyone see this problem before? Do I have to throw it away? I didn't have chance to try it on a different car. I used this clay on the same car before before it was waxed with no problem. BTW, I used AIO, SG, and S100 on the car. I will buy a new clay and try it on the car.

Sounds like you didn't use enough lube or the surface was too hot. I'd try claying again making sure to use either a detail spray or a slick soapy water solution.

How did you have the clay stored? Clay needs t be stored in a plastic bag or something that is air tight. I also spray some QD spray in to keep moist.

Also what lube are you using, anytime that I have seen clay marks has been from not quite enough lube or the clay is drying out

I'll have to agree with the others, sound like you didn't lube the surface well enough.
What were you using as a lube?

Nothing wrong with the clay. Use lots of lube next time, and don't push down on it.
The mark should come out fine with some polish.

Could also be the clay is dated and a bit dried out. I have some cases of old clay that I bought at a huge discount and only use it to clay out nasty heavily contaminated vehicles and the areas around the tires/wheelwells. This clay also requires extra lubrication and will leave behind a light residue. At $17+ dollars a bar for good clay, I have no problem using this old stuff on these problem vehicles/areas rather than waste my more expensive claybars.

It also helps to have a case of these bars with me at all times as a last resort. (As a rule, I absolutely will not buff a car until it is clayed).

The clay is very soft. I had lot of lube. I stored the clay in plastic zip lock bag. I think the clay tried to take the wax (S100) off. I had 3 layers of wax within one week. I didn't like the result so I want to redo everything from scratch.
I can take the mark out very easy but the clay was not usable. I will try it on another car tomorrow.

I should be punished, I have buffed my car a few times without claying, the paint is very smooth after, but not so much before. I need to get my self some clay!

You must of pushed or not brushed properly over the paint. Follow up with the bar with lots of lube to get the excess clay of there.

i had this happen to me once before too. it was just becasue i wasnt using enough lube. next time try use a little more lub and report back the results :)
