Backing plate and pads for Makita 9227c - locally?

My Makita is coming in tomorrow and I wanted to ask if there is a suitable backing plate that I can find locally, i.e. NAPA, CarQuest, etc.. to utilize the 5" CCS pads that I use on my UDM.



I also have some 6.5" CCS pads also, white, blue and an orange pad that I would like to use. I imagine that the backing plate that comes with the unit may be too big for the 5" pads?



I'm gonna go watch some YouTube rotary buffing videos :woot2:

Auto paint stores will have BP's but they'll be expensive and possibly not as good as what you can get online.



Harbor Freight has cheap ones in various sizes. 3, 5, and 7" I believe.



I think the stock Makita is 7" or so. It's big! Works best with 7.5" pads or 8" wool, etc.
