I noticed your thread the ohter day about the EBAY good deal. Will look forward to seeing the ppictures of the process using the product that you purchased.

I know that the engine of my truck will need a good going over since I have not done anything (or plan anything until October) to my engine compartment since leaving Texas. I plan on getting this product and give it a try when I return.

Jngrbrdman, I think Santa got hi-jacked. He was supposed to deliver those a little further South in the state. No matter, you can just bring them down when you come to take care of my truck. I'm awful slow in healing up after having my back fused and haven't been up to much in the way of taking care of it. It's in rough shape. I've had my two teenagers wash and clean it up but it's picked up a lot of swirls and of course they don't polish. I'm embarrassed to look at it. It's been almost 4 months with no real loving care and it shows. That CD2 will be the icing on the cake. See you soon. :)

No pity, J/K of course.

I really like the CD-2 engine detailer...I bought the last of it from aurozone last year when they were blowing it out for 1.98 a can (5 cans)...was told it was being discountinued..so if you see it in stores grab it...not worh getting online ..paying 7.98 a can and 10.00 for shipping from Midway auto parts to my house in Mass....

Now you know I like DuraGloss products...well I tried thier product to see if it was as good as CD-2.. it is thier Tire mat dressing... it is a synthetic dressing with added rain repel http://www.duragloss.com/product.asp?pid=278

It does look nice..it is a spray not aresol...so more product for the money..

as glossy..Yes

easy to apply..yes

dust attractent...no

easy engine cleaning with applied ..yes just a wet wipe down and back to looking new..

I have not tried on tires yet as i still need to use 4WD to get up to my house..we have had a ton of rain last 2 months and mud is the flaver of the day..no sense putting anything on the tires till we dry out here...i just wash them and dirty them on the way out of my road...useless battle...

but the Duragloss product in my opinion will make a great replacement once CD2 is all gone..
