Average full detail cost?

What is the "average" full detail cost, polish paint/apply finish/sealant/wax/ interior, etc,?

I'll use my truck as an example (Tacoma). If you want to use another example that would be fine. I live in Maryland, I'm sure the price varies for different parts of the country.

Mine are $200 to $250 on that with out engine

This is also paint correction and that takes me about 4 times over the paint to get right

wash, clay, two coats polish, two coats wax, wheels, tires, full interior, no engine - 210, leather +20, super dirty +20

cars 190

lg sedan/mini truck 210

fullsize/suv 250

now getting people to pay me rather than 100 for the local carwash - tough to do...

going to the car wash and listening to them complain about a terrible job and they want their money back - priceless!!!

We detailed this for over $1000. We did paint correction, interior, and engine.

ToyotaGuy:

Do you perform a 2 day detail? I see you list 2 coats of wax. How long do you allow for curing in between the seperate coats?

One step polish from me with interior = $350. That's wash, clay, one polishing step, sealant, wax, do interior, and all the trimmings (dress trim, polish exhaust, seal wheels, etc.)

I'm guessing this is Canadian dollars right?

sealant then canuba topper, or two carnuba wax....cure time about an hour to two hours in the sun...usually its M21, then on a final wipe down of the whole car i hit it with some OCW....really makes the paint pop after the 21

Joe I want to know how you booked the job for 1200...unless you wetsanded the whole thing...or did you charge more for the risk factor....(messing up the paint and having to repaint, claim it on insurance, then having to pay more insurance monthly.)

I detail those 6 dump trucks I did a while ago including degreasing, dressing, and wax on the cab for $900. I ususally do a full job on a truck for $170 or so.

A recent survey taken by the magazine "Auto Laundry" stated the average full detail price by those polled to be $190 and change, FWIW.
