Autopian f-body owners...car show info

1 Clean WS6

Detailing Rottweiler
Hey my fellow f-bod friends!!!!

It's getting close to one of my favorite times of the year....GATHERING time!!!

www.fbodygathering.net

For the uninitiated this is one of the largest f-body exclusive car shows in the southeast. Any generation is welcome though the 4th gens are the dominant platform. This will be my sixth year in attendance and my fourth year as one of the sponsors. Each year it has gotten bigger and better. Think 300+ of the baddest f-cars on the planet in one spot!! There is no racing involved with the main focal point being a huge judged show on Saturday. Aside from the show there are many other events and every night in the parking lot is a party. Good times, good friends and daumn cool cars. If you have the time make it a point to get there. I guarantee you'll be back. ;)

Here are some pics from last years Gathering #9...

Unconfirmed rumors have it that the concept Camaro (the silver one) will be present.

Well another outstanding Gathering!!! The concept Camaro was present and is a sight to behold in person. I can only hope that GM makes me a version with an arrowhead and a bird on it. ;)

I have to give undying gratitude to my good friend and fellow Autopian Woody (WS67902) for his help this past weekend...without him I would have been dead in the water. All together we did 8 cars in about 2 days. We started at 3:00 on Thursday and finished around the same time on Saturday. We would have been able to do more but intermittent thundershowers added at least another 3-4 hours to the work days. We would have to stop...wait for the shower to pass...dry the client cars and then dry our own cars (no acid rain damage for me thanks!!!). In all everyone did well with pretty much every car we detailed winning either its class or coming in runner-up.

If you have an f-body I can't say it enough...come to this show just once and you'll be hooked!!! :grinno:

We were so busy that I did not get one single picture of the show so I'll have to pirate a few from folks that took some. All I have is the following shots of Woody and I working...

'95 Trans Am in the foreground received a wash and interior detail. '98 Z28 under the tent received ZPC via PC and ZFX'd Z-2Pro x's 3 as well as a full interior detail.

'99 SS in the foreground received a wash and interior detail. '95 Z28 under the tent received ZPC via PC and ZFX'd Z-2Pro x's 3 as well as a full interior detail. '02 Trans Am received VM via PC and PB's Natty's Blue by hand and a full interior detail. You can see Lola and Woody's '79 Trans Am just peeking through the trees above the enclosed trailer in this shot.

No...I did not take any because I did not get to see the exhibit until Sunday. Besides...I'm a Pontiac guy. ;)

Wow..........there is nothing that even comes close to a get together up here where I am. I hope one of these days I can go to this event!!

Great pics. Thanks for sharing Mike!

Mike,

The pleasure was all mine! I had a great time working along side a true professional.

Isn't it amazing how beer seems to help out on those 95 degree detailing days!

By the way, I found some very nice pictures of Lola that I will send you.

Really bummed I missed this. Just wasn't paying attention to the calendar at all and way too busy at work...glad you all had fun.

Hope some one drank a Heineken for me. :D

Lee we definitely missed your presence but fear not as Woody and I put a hurting on any stray beer in site. ;)

With the way this show is growing and the volume of work that I am incurring each year at it...we just might need your help Pat!!

well I hope the 75is done by next year. I keep telling my nephew that I want to work on it but he still hasn't pulled the engne to go from auto-to-5 speed.. so that is the hold up right now..

Man I have to start saving for that Camaro. I freaking hate car payments but that one would be worth it.

Any idea if they make this beast what the MSRP is going to be?
