Hey Guys,

So I just spent £618.57, on autoglym products, a lot of them.

What I want to know is what anyone thinks of there stuff, ive used it quite alot and i think it's really good. And I would't want to use anything else.

But I haven't seen anyone write about it on this forum.

Welcome to the Forum -

AutoGlym was very popular 10 years ago and I still have a few products from this company..

Unfortunately, something happened and the Autoglym products were no longer offered by most if not all of the Detailing Forum Stores - at least, the ones that I frequent. I think the brand quit getting support from the Company or something...

There was a great Detailer in Canada that sold the Autoglym brand but I dont know what happened to him..

I have seen some Autoglym products on Amazon.com, and they might also be on Ebay..

I personally liked their Interior Cleaning products the best - they worked really well and had an awesome, clean scent..

Their exterior products were not that great back then, for my business model and needs, so I never really got into them..

Hope this helps -

I used that stuff 15 years ago and remember it being super smeary. Something called super resin polish and their wax. It was very expensive . I still have the bottles. It is amazing how our tastes change over the years. If it works for you, wax away.

I love the SRP. Cleaned really well, good cut pad and paint system pending. Great shine. I like it a lot because it uses resins rather then polymers so the protection was more durable and had a nice waxed shine to it for an AIO.
So easy to work with. It's going to be hard to choose between TPnS, SRP and GPS when my Menz FAJ is finished

I am a fan of AG products but the bigger question is how did you spend nearly $1000 on one brands products. Perhaps the bigger and more important question is, did you like the products

Never used AG, but I have been interested in their hand applicator. I believe you can get all of their products off eBay here in the states.

AutoGlym products are good to go IMO, though I haven't tried all that many of them.

Their Super Resin Polish is a very good AIO that deserves more attention IMO. Some might hate the scent, but I like it. Though it contais *VERY* gentle abrasives (no it won't take off enough clear to matter, go ahead and use it every day ;) ) and some mild chemical cleaners, it *CAN* be layered if you do it right (yeah I tested it with decent controls). I use it topped with Souveran on my Jag.

Their Bumper Care is the only "exterior slime product" that I use and it's worked miracles on trim-bits that I considered hopeless; I still use it on the satin black running boards of the Tahoe and it's worked for some awfully unusual applications as well (rusty hood hinges?!? Yeah, really!).

I hardly ever use "interior slime products" either, but theirs is nice and, uhm..."light and clean" compared to some others.

I used their carnuba wax on my 72 burnished copped skylark

Put the best shine on anything ive used on that car
I used it on my blue hornet and is was pretty much tje same as WG Fuzion..perhaps slightly better2

nothingface5384- Heh heh, IMO perhaps the most interesting thing on this thread is your having a '72 Skylark and a Hornet!

Autoglym in Canada is sold over the counter at general stores such as Canadian tire (similar to walmart) and Part source (similar to pepboys) but only a limited selection

Lowejackson- Interesting, thanks for posting that link!

I'm guessing that it still stains trim though, right? I like SRP so much that for once that wasn't a deal-breaker for me.

Good question about the trim staining. The answer is I guess it does but do not remember it causing any problems although I think the official line is it can stain trim.
