AutoGlym Lifeshine & PC 7424

I've just received my PC and after a brief panic about wiring :D, am itching to get polishing.

I have a metallic black car and had Autoglym's lifeshine system applied to it from new. Beading is great but it has developed a few light swirls I am hoping to get rid of.

I am proposing to use my PC with a green sonus pad and Autoglyms Super Resin polish to start off with, followed up by a thin application of extra gloss.

My question is should I use the green sonus or blue pad which is finer and will the Super Resin be enough to remove the swirls?

The Resin is a very mild polish but do not expect miracles. I tend to think of Resin as a last step product but using the concept of least aggressive products first, the Resin might yield some improvements.

If you want to stick to Autoglym products due to the lifeshine, try some Supreme Polish. Has a little more bite than the Resin.

Welcome to Autopia!

One thing that strikes me, is that if your going to be using polishes to remove swirls, you'll almost certainly be removing the Life Shine coat that was originally applied to the car.... You won't be able to eliminate or reduce swirls without going through the coating first.

You'll love the PC though once you start using it!

Cheers.

Alex is correct... you can say bye bye to your Lifeshine once you start polishing with the PC.

Out of interest, how much was the Lifeshine when you had it done? I've seen that stuff on ebay for not much money.

The Lifeshine seems to be built around the Resin and Gloss or the same stuff I can buy in Halfords, so what then is dramatically different about Lifeshine?

P4boy - Like you, I have also had my PC7424 and Sonus pad kit delivered this week and has been converted to 110v UK through the transformer - am looking forward to trying the beast out, heard so much about them from Autopia :up

We tried to get hold of some Lifeshine of the local Autoglym rep he wasnt playing ball. They are only supposed to sell it to certain people authorised to apply it.
