Autobahn Mirror question

Hi, I was looking at the Autobahn Mirror sold here. I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of what it looks like inside the car? I"m always turning my head to look beside me before I switch lanes because I don't trust my side mirrors, and I was thinking that this mirror might eliminate my need to take my eyes off the road so long.

It looks...different lol, but functional. Is that something that is farely common over in Germany? I'm going to have to get me one of those next month.

I have one of those! :D

Or rather, a copy of it more likely. It's from Canadian Tire up here and it looks identical except it doesn't have the middle segment, so it has less flexibility in placement. Optics aren't stellar (the mirror is plastic) but it's pretty good I think, and is certainly good enough to tell if someone is in your blind spot. I absolutely love it, since it's all but eliminated shoulder checks on that side of the car. This is a good thing, since I have more trouble turning my head left than right for some strange reason....

Best part is, it's only $7.99 up here. :xyxthumbs

Hey everyone, I got an autobahn mirror for my mom, she's excited about putting it on. Anyrate, I remember seeing a car driving with a mirror on both sides but I don't remember how he did it. Anyone have any pictures of what it is supposed to look like on the passenger side, if it's even meant to go there?

An autobahn mirror on your right side is probably unnecessary. You must turn your head a little bit to look at your right side view mirror anyway, and once ur head turns that much, your right blindspot is already in the corner of your eye.

Yeah I figured that would be why but wasn't 100% sure. I put it on my mom's truck and took it for a spin, wow it's amazing. She loves it also. I'll have to get one for my car now.:D

One good thing about the real Autobahn mirror is that the extra joints help overcome stuff like large, fat A-pillars.

I'd like to buy one of my knockoff mirrors for my mother as well, but the pillar is too wide for good placement I think... I'll try mine on her car, but it doesn't look promising.

Yeah I know what you mean about the fat A-pillars. The mirrior actually rests on the truck's pillar, but it still covers the blind spot so I don't mind it.
