This car belongs to a guy who drives 10 miles a day on gravel roads. 5 out. 5 back.
He never washed the car to my knowledge in several years of daily driving. About 175,XXX miles +/-.
He was putting the car up for sale the next day and didn't want the future owner to know how badly it had been treated!
If there was ever a car that needed "Before" pictures, this is the one! Well... it didn't happen that way!
Honestly, I was so shocked by the appearance of the car that all I could think about was starting on it!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead: Live and learn!
Condition of Car:
Completely trashed.
A one-inch build-up of crusty, hard gravel crud in the wheelwells and inside the wheel barrels!
Engine bay was pure white with gravel dust.
Exterior:
Took it to the coin op car wash and power blasted the wheels and wheel wells for close to an hour.
He didn't want "polishing"... "Cost's too much!"
So I used ZAIO applied with PC and LC white pad and it did an exemplary job.
I just left the swirls because the customer didn't want to spend the $$$.
Interior:
Glass: Stoner Invisible Glass
Carpet: Woolite Heavy Traffic Carpet Cleaner with carpet brush, rinse with water and bath towel
Vinyl/Leather: Clean with APC, then condition with 50/50 mix of Z10 & Z16
Engine:
Covered elec parts with foil
Saturated engine bay with Gunk Foam Eng Cleaner
Scrubbed with a toilet brush
Rinsed with water
Dried with old towel
Saturated engine bay with Trim Shine
12 hours later: Again... sorry about no "before" pics...:banghead::cursing::banghead::cursing::banghead::cursing:
Ooops... looks like I missed some gravel mud!!! (He never noticed... I thought he was going to have a stroke when he saw the car!!!!:biggrin::rofl::biggrin::rofl
