At what temperature do you bring your things inside?

50? 40? 30?

I'm just wondering when everyone brings their things inside. I've heard that soaps, etc. can go "bad" if you leave them out when it's too cold.

keep them in a closet or something, and shake up your products every month or so. it won't hurt, and it will help keep them from seperating...

Cold will affect some products (separation, oxidation, deterioration, etc). Everything is stored indoors between 60 & 75 degrees all year long. Since we're on the topic of storage, it's just as important to keep things sealed tightly as so much of what we use has a variety of gasses that will vapor-off and leave you with an inferior product - in some cases within just hours.

Hope this helps,

Somewhat of an old thread but thought id bump it instead of starting a new one. Its about 30 degrees here in FL, my stuff is in a closet in the garage. Would it be alright there or should I bring this stuff in? Or maybe just some specific ones?

For one night? Haha, I think you're alright. :xyxthumbs

I bring my stuff indoors when the temperature drops to about 0 degrees (32 f) in the fall, but that's because I know it will continue falling. In your case, it's not likely to last.

Heh, us floridians are dying over here. Coldest temperatures weve seen in a while. Should be like this through the weekend though. Although its just at night, stays around 60+ through the day.

does soap and wax go bad if it freezes

Certain products will separate and others may degrade in performance. In general, exposure to freezing temperatures is never a good idea.

Oh, the GTI? It was a client's from earlier in the year. I too like V-dubs. I tend to swing toward the Bimmer crowd, myself however.
