Arrest Me Red...

Today was a good detail day. I tried out some new products, some I liked, others I didn't.

I started off with a QEW which was presoaked by my new bug sprayer. I sprayed a little QD on each panel before drying (Gliptone Body Gloss). I was happy to see the paint was still shining :). This weather lately had my doubtful. There was a decent amount of marring though accumulated from this winter. Our apartment complex road is like a wind tunnel. The sand blows viciously and coupled with my SOFT clearcoat, I had no chance. To note, the Zaino was still pretty slick and beaded very well.

Anyways, I first tried out #16. I applied thin, let haze, then removed. I noted NO notable difference. I even took pics to see if I could tell...nothing. So scrooge the 16 for now.

I then tried out FK1 Pink Wax. Damn this stuff is nice :). It goes on and comes off easier than #16 and provided a lot of depth on top of my 6 layers of Zaino. It's pretty noticeable in the pics too. I finished up with Poorboy's Spray and Gloss to get any dust or missed wax residue before picture taking. I used on the glass as well. This stuff is very slick and DOES NOT STREAK. More on it when I use it on a "non-wax day".

Anyways, tell me what you think...

Very clean, Sean. Excellent job as always. The rear window looks good too. Is all the glass gone?

I can't wait until it starts to consistently warm up so I can give my cars a really good detail again.

there is def. a notable difference and i have heard alot of praise from the people using the pink wax. Can someone tell me where online I can buy it?

great as always but, i miss the other wheels on the car!!

Sean, I was wondering why your back window is not tinted?

It had just been replaced due to vandals smashing in his orginal.

Vernon

PS. i'm lovin the MR front bumper hehe!

i don't know, i can't tell the difference between the first two pictures. maybe my monitor at work sucks. :( or maybe i'm just so used to seeing your integra looking like so good! :)

but i really like that last picture, wow. the red looks so rich. :woot:

Sean,

Sweet job on the Teg! :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

The pink wax did add depth to the Zaino layers. Much more depth and very rich looking!:bow

As always, your prep work is the key! You have made the paint swim with depth and liquidity.

Keep up the sweet work!

Cheers,

Thanks for the kind compliments :D.

zzyyzx: Nope. I can hear it whenever I open the hatch (in the hatch arms). I have to rip the car apart to get it all out. The glass guy told me I should drive with my hatch all the way open when it gets warmer out and the glass will rattle out.

blackcaraddict: Yeh no kiddin ;).

n1976jmk: Back on in under a month.

OneQuickGT1: Wait for Scottwax or O4Cobra. They have used it more than I have.

Clean Dean: I drive the roads like an obstacle course around here...avoiding all puddles and potholes :D.

Sean, you never cease top amaze. You like that pink wax huh. They sent me a sample of their glaze if you are interested. Let em know.

Looks fantastic as usual, great skill and sweet car, gotta love those Honda's :xyxthumbs

Got me a supply of S+G today, eager to try it out, but seems like I won't be disappointed

Looking good Sean, I really like the last aerial shot that cops in helicopters must get all the time :D.

I do admire your opinion about #16, its the first non-rave review I read of it. Looking forward to seeing your car with the kit and rims back on
