Armor All Gel Interior Protectant

I see this at the store but I am afraid to try it. The claims are below. The "our strongest UV protection available" statement is what caught my eye. Any one try this yet? I am just afraid it may have too much shine.

----The Most Advanced Formula from the Leader in Protection!----

Rich, smooth formula provides maximum control to evenly treat surfaces.

Patented technology delivers our strongest UV protection available.

Durable, long-lasting formula restores and prolongs "like-new" look.

Cleans, shines and protects rubber, plastic and vinyl.

I have "tried" many OTC products, and have been disappointed in some. A couple that came to mind recently are Meguiar's Hot Shine Aerosol Spray(used half, or more than half of a can on 4 - 17" tires), and Eagle One Nano Interior protectant(created a bad haze on the windows).

I wouldn't trust a gel dressing on my interior :soscared:

If you don't like shine then have a look at Meguiar's Interior QD. Cleans great, and leaves a completely matte finish with no streaks. However, it is less substantial in protection than other dressings.

Follow up with either Sonus Total Eclipse worked in with a foam applicator or 303 Aerospace Protectant worked in and buffed off.

Any way to keep leather from getting squeaky when protected? I used the 303 tonight, and the seats are pretty noisy :)

Try out a different conditioner or protectant, see what works for you. Usually Turtle Wax Leather Cleaner/Conditioenr, Chemical Guys Leather Conditioner, and Wolfgang Leather Conditioner don't leave any "squeak". Oh, and also to make sure to do a final, thorough buff of the seats when you're done conditioning or protecting.

I'll send the TW LC/C. I used it last weekend and it worked well and didn't squeek. Really gave the leather a nice sheen and isn't greasy. As for the Armor All I'd stay away from it.

Any other thoughts on this Armor All Gel? I picked some up from Advanced Auto for the heck of it while I was getting oil and filter for an oil change. I'll try it and let everyone know how it works out.

As a side note, it says "Patented technology delivers our strongest UV protection available." ...delivers "our" strongest UV protection available is the key not "the" strongest UV protection...

This may be the strongest UV protection for Turtle Wax but I don't know what that means in relation to other products. I think I'll stick with 303 Protectant for a matte finish and outstanding UV protection. I can't see liking the appearance of a thick gel on my interior- although this one might be different. As someone else said- for $5 give it a try and let us know what you think.

I can't stand anything Armor All.

Ridiculously high shine, greasy and doesn't last.

Sorry, just can't stand the thought of the stuff.
