Appying NXT with PC

Whats the best way to apply NXT with a PC, apply to gray pad or directly to the paint and what speed should I use 3 or 4 ? or should I just do it manuslly like what the instructions say by using the foam applicator, let haze and buff off with a terry cloth ?

Apply to foam pad first. I tend to show people how to apply a thin strip of product in a circle around the outer edges. The idea being to avoid placing product in the center of pad as pad saturation can be a problem with extended use. Your product will move to and penetrate into the center sooner or later, so I prefer not to help it.

I have a picture somewhere on MOL

There is also a technique I use called, "Kissing the finish".

This isn't a Meguiar's technique, it's a Mike Phillips technique. The idea being, instead of applying your product to the pad surface and then setting the pad against the finish and turning it on, I gently touch the pad with product, down lightly to the finish in a number of places thereby spreading the product out and leaving circles of product on the finish.

Then, as you work your way to these circles of product, you simply tilt your PC on edge and snag the product under your foam pad and then return the foam pad to a flat position and continue buffing the next section.

If you apply some product to your pad, then press the pad against the finish and turn it on, the oscillating action will instantly push most of your strip of product up into your pad.

Kissing the finish with your PC will help to redo pad saturation.

Hope this helps...
