I've been playing this game on and off for a few months now-having only thought to initiate work in early June (big mistake, as I needed to put more attention into the regular work i was getting). I have some maintenance clients who work in large office parks, I figured they would be gold mines to offer weekly on-site services. So the clients put me in contact with the property managers. At first, it sounded like the property managers were going to hook me up and let me come on site once a week, even do some email and office campaigning at no expense, never really asked for any money from me either. Then came the legalities: insurance requirements which actually would have cost more than the amount I figured we'd earn, as well as licensing as a business operator in that county (c'mon...i'm mobile, are you saying if I service 50 counties, i need 50 licenses?). I simply could not meet their requirements and its left a very bad taste in my mouth. I would certainly like to approach more companies, however need to do so when I have more time on my hands. Also keep in mind, many companies, big or small, have a no soliciting policy.
