Applying wax with fingers instead of foam pad

I'm going to using P21S wax on my car. Though the jar came with a foam applicator, does anyone else find it easier to appy with just one or two fingers? It seems like the wax speads more and you use much less. The foam applicator seems like it would waste a lot of wax when it soaks it up.

Well, for one thing, the can of Zymol Concourse recommends you to place some of the wax into the palm of your hands until it melts, and then spread it over the car with the palm of your hand. As long your hands are clean, i dont see any real problem.

anyone disagree?

When I used Blitz I applied with my bare hands. Put 3 fingers in the tin spun them around then worked it into the paint with my whole hand. Body heat gets the wax nice and soft. Fingertips are great for tight areas. Don't think there's anything wrong with it unless your mitts are like 50 grit sandpaper :)

I applied wax to my wheels by hand - it's so hard to get all the spokes covered, and it was much easier to do by hand. You definitely use less wax that way since it warms up and sort of melts.

I also apply Lexol's Leather Conditioner to my seats by hand - just like you would a lotion to your skin -- seems easier to me, and your skin gets conditioned, too! :)

Wow.. i thought i was the only one who applied leather conditioner by hand. But i use Pinnacle Leather Conditioner. Apply some on my hand, and massage it into the seats.. Guess im not as crazy as i thought i was..

Pathfinderguy,

How do you like your Pinnacle conditioner? I hear it works just as well as Lexol, but with the added benefit of its scent, whereas Lexol smells kind of bad.
