applying ajt via pc

ive been using my sonus blue pad and pc to apply cg's butter spray and a few other spray waxes, any harm in doing so with jett trigger? wouldnt that use less product?

I use very little AJ-T as it is...I would contine to use it by hand for several reasons.

1. If the paint is very soft and the pad becomes too dried out you might marr the paint

2. If some dirt gets into the pad you might marr/swirl the paint without even knowing at first.

3. AJ-T from my limited experience is easy to apply/buff off by hand

Just my opinion of course, I prefer to apply all waxes/sealants by hand. I guess if you've never had trouble with any other spray waxes it would work fine.

thanks josh,

yeah im just tryin to save as much as i can, i do use sparingly and normally dont overapply anything i was just curious really if there was a benefit results wise and saving product. havent even got my order in and im trying to stretch my buck already lol.

You're welcome!

haha :) I'm trying to stretch my buck as well...Thats why I just ordered about $100 more in products this past week :chuckle: I dont know why but there is just a thrill of having your products delivered and having a new bottle to look at and put on your shelf :) Well Im sure more people will chime in on your question. Im sure applying it via PC would definately allow you to apply evenly. I've never applied waxes via a machine...I just dont know why, maybe I should give it a shot on my cyclo!! :)

definitely agreed on all the above.

nothing like getting a shipment, especially when its for your business so your wife cant get mad, then organizing all your products together is another one of my favorite pasttimes.

hell i even introduce some of my old stuff to my new stuff to make sure they get along in my storage bin lol

i just love the look of a section thats been applied via machine, its so even and so mixed in its darn near impossible to copy by hand but i cant say its detrimental to the results as ive waxed 100's by hand. sonus blue and lc black are my designated lsp pads now, you should give it a shot for sure

I tired AJ via PC to this vette and then removed it with AJT. I had no problems at all.

If you note in that thread:

Applying the AJ with a PC and spritzing AJT for removal seemed to work good on this car. Then we did a 89 GMC the next day. Removed oxidation with PG/RMG mix. Then the same JW process as above. The hood got very cloudy in one area. Nothing would remove it, not prime, IPA wipedown, ect. The hood just got worse with everything we tried. Ended up doing a IPA wipedown of the whole hood then repolish with IP/RMG. Applied Z1 and Z2pro without any problems to the hood.

In this heat I will no longer apply AJ or even AJT to any car with a PC.

I have used AJT by hand since then without any problems.

nasty wet vette there. very good work.

the heat...yeah a big concern for me too which is why ive been using the xmt line and other sun safe products even in my garage that gets brick oven like w/o ac. i just wanted a few of jeffs products at my disposal so i picked up prime and ajt. im sure they wont get moldy on my shelf

when you say you removed it with AJT, do you spray it onto the MF or directly onto the car and then remove it?

I got this tip from Picus. :2thumbs:

I applied AJ with a PC to the entire car, then I went back and spritz'd AJT on each panel buffed it in and flipped the MF for a final buff. Again I would not recommend this method in the summer heat.

I am guessing this would be like doing a seperate coat of AJ then a coat of AJT.
