i saw a rain-x wash system that you attached to your hose, it had two compartments for soap, one was a washing soap, and the other side was a "self drying" mix... yea... it had a selector for the diffrent compartments and an on/off valve. it was at big lots for like $3 (big lots has meguiers to omg).

think i should get it and try some diluted nxt in there? or will that just not work.

is there any advantage of having a bucket rather than putting ntx in onea these??

Big Lots has meguiers? Wow. They must be trying to be Meguiar's or something.

The soap they put in those things are not the same kind of soap you buy normally. I don't know if it is more concentrated or less concentrated, but I do know it is different. I've read about people trying to put normal soap in them and they just don't work out that well. You are better off buying a foam gun and doing it that way. That is all these cheap products are trying to be anyway.

*googled it* , i could make onea those easy... all i need to know is how it make foam...

I have been using a device similar to what you describe for several years and I like it. You can pour soap in a bucket and add water or spray water and inject soap but it all turns out to be soapy water. The one that I use has a water setting I spray the car with just water with it set on the jet spray it has 7 spray patterns after the loose dirt is washed off I switch the soap on and with a brush or mitt wash with out bending over to get water from the bucket. Also don't have to lug the bucket around the car. Water in bucket gets dirty but soap water from the hose is always clean. Personally I don't care for the foam gun lot of soap not much water. The one I use keeps spraying and floating off the dirt with the soapy water foam just lays their.
I know the new foam gun is the flavor of the week but not worth $40.00 for something just to much soapy water.

Has anyone compared the rain-X system to a foam gun? IMO, a foam gun is an essential washing tool -especially if you own black paint. I have been very pleased with the results that I get using a foam gun & quality sheepskin mitts.
