Appearing on Google

I just finished and uploaded my site yesterday.



I used this link:

Add your URL to Google



Used iWeb SEO on my website.



Even when I type my website specifically in Google, I still can't find my it.



How do you guys go about this?
 
Are you searching for your site by name, or with keywords, such as 'auto detailing'? Even if your site is listed in the Google directory, it does not mean it will come up in the organic results when you search for keywords. You can use Google AdWords for pay-per-click sponsored advertising, but getting your site to show up well in the organic results takes some time. Your site has to have decent SEO built into it, and many links back to your site from other sites. One other thing that is recommended, is to ad your site to the Yahoo internet directory. This is a directory compiled by human editors.
 
It's been over a month and mine still hasn't shown up... so in other words, it might take a while.

It may take a while, but that is assuming your site has some level of SEO (search engine optimization).
 
What's your domain? SEO is a very complicated and often convoluted aspect of web development. Start by registering with Google Webmaster Tools - this will show you when your site was last accessed by the Google bots and offer some ways to optimize your SEO. It will also show you impressions and clickthroughs.
