Anyone tried the 3M glaze foam pad?

It is 7 inches across so it's a bit big for the PC but would probably work. it is black and looks like a bunch of foam "cones" with blunt tips. Kind of strange actually. My local body shop carries them and they are $25 each (canadian money) Worth a shot with Meguiars #9 or shoudl I try something else?

Well it looks like hills and valleys on the pad. I'd say each peak is about an inch high. Very soft but also expensive but I'll buy them if worth the money and the larger pad will work with my PC.

Those are known as "waffle" pads. I use this type of pad very often with my DeWalt rotary. They are good pads, they are not that expensive here in the US. About $10-$12.

You’re describing their waffle pads. They are really designed for use on a true rotary buffer. To use them on a PC, you would need to track down a 7" counter weight first, but I don't think they are ideally suited to that application. The waffle is to help dissipate heat to avoid buffer burns. The PC doesn't produce near as much heat, and the waffle pad might actually be counterproductive.

I use them with my PC. They're not aggressive at all, so they're no good for polishes, but with glazes and wax they're fine.

Part # is 05729, right?
