Anyone NOT like FK 2180??

Gosh I was really looking forward to using this product after I spent a few hours preparing my paint for the sealant. This product was not easy to apply. First the sealant seems to dry(drys fast!) as soon as it is rubbed in the paint. Next I found myself having to use more product than I normally do.

Anyone else use this product and have feedback??

have not had any problems. sometimes the first couple of coats seem to just disappear into the paint. are you doing it by hand or machine? i apply by machine and had no problems.

I was applying by hand.

I got a sample of this with one of my FK1 orders, and yes, you seemed to use a lot, and no, I wasn't very impressed with it. I was looking at the bottle a couple of weeks ago and it seemed all watery, but I shook it up and it seemed to get thicker again.

I thought about buying it.. But.. After reading several threads about 2180 quite a few people said it was finicky to use, and weren't impressed with it.

The way I look at it is: If I am going through all the work involved with waxing, I want something that lasts. I no longer use 2180 because protection seems to vanish after a few weeks.

I have used it several times and had no problems with applying it or removing it. It didn't dry too fast for me. The only thing I found was that when used over Do Do Juice Double wax, it mutes the 'glossiness' slightly. Overall, I was quite impressed with it; however, it still can't compare to the KSG which I use more often than the FK.

I bought the sampler pack while back, I can't say there was anything that I woud ever buy again, especially 2180. That highly regarded 425 is no better than the "showroom Shine" I get locally at Majestic Solutions.

What product? Do they have a web site?

Based on the posts I've read, durability doesn't seem to be a strongpoint. 1000P would be the better choice if durability is a concern.

It's one of the few FK products I have not tried. Reviews have never been overwhelmingly positive, so I have never felt the need/desire to try it.

Not to mention I have tried enough sealants to last a lifetime!

I wasn't overly impressed with it. As noted by others, it didn't seem to last, nor did it seem to add much to the looks. Bence stated that one needs to apply a few coats at first, as it soaks into the paint, or something. He seems to have gotten better results (and has experimented with it more) than I have, so you might want to try his tips if you get the product.
