It looks like this is one without the washer mod. The washer eliminates contact with the rubber shield. I myself did not like the idea of lubrication possibly being slung onto the surface mostly because the possibility of contamination before a coating. They all come stock with a lubricant between the backing plate and shroud. Failure to keep this done without the washer can result in friction that will bind the shroud against the backing plate. It will not be pretty.
