Hey,
I recently was given a relatively new Xerox 6250 color laser printer. A friend of mine owns and architectual firm and used it at the office. Recently it had a minor problem with the black toner feeding into the printer, so they called a Xerox guy out and he fixed it. A few days later it stopped working again (same problem) so they figured they didn't have time to play around with it constantly and got a new one. Well, because the problem was relatively simple they figured I could fix it, and I accepted, so now I have it. It says to "remove the packaging ribbon from the toner cartridge". The ribbon is a piece of tape that keep toner from coming out while it is being shipped. The ribbon is definently off and I'm guessing it's getting that error because it isn't getting toner to the internals where it needs to be. The black toner tray is new and the toner lines/tubes seem to be in place. Anyone know how to fix a problem like this?
Thanks!
