Anyone here running a HKS exhaust?

I am ditching my Magnaflow cat back for a HKS and was wondering if anyone here had experience with them. The exhaust is ordered and should (better) be here this week.

Thanks.

Which one? I have heard the super dragger(if I remember correctly) it was a bit too loud for me. I went with the mugen twinloop, a bit pricey but the quality is unsurpassed. The sound is exactly the way I want, stealth until vtec then it roars.

Well, this is their Hi-performance line and on my car, 2001 civic EX, it will only be a rear section.

Definitely have not heard that one. I know that HKS has top notch build quality. Everyone that I have seen (exhausts) the welds have been almost sanitary.

I have the Hyper back section on my GS-R and the build quality is excellent. The sound is deep but not loud or "farty" and it looks awesome.

I have the HKS super drager although on TT supra MKIV not a civic and it is a high quality piece and a nice exhaust note

I gotta custom made 3" turboback with an HKS Hiper muffler... not to be concided, but its the best 4banger I've ever heard

I'm going with a stealth exhaust on my 626. I may even go with duals (it is a V6) and set them up like the exhaust on the new V6 Accords with the mufflers and tips blacked out. 2.5" pipe split into 2" pipe and a pair of Walker Quiet Flow mufflers. I've heard them on an Impala SS and they are definitely quiet, barely more rumble at idle than stock.

Just want to make it a bit more fun to drive. If I eventually decide to do something like that , I'd go with the KZE engine (JDM) that has 200 hp to my 170 and either swap in a 5 speed or get a stall converter and tranny upgrades from Level 10.

That would be pretty sweet to have a quick little Mazda sedan w/some N2O. I'm sure you could whoop up on some unsuspecting people :)

The best sleeper I have ever had was my 1977 Cutlass Supreme Brougham, complete with crushed velour seats and a 455 out of an early 70's Delta 88. That engine had 380 lb-ft of torque with single exhaust! My Cutlass already had duals, the HEI dropped right into place (same firing order) and I had a nice 5 x 14 K&N air filter that fit under the hood that supplied more than enough air to the engine.

I raced a Yamaha 650 Maxim at a 40 mph roll and by about 75-80, I was 2-3 car lengths in front. :up

Yeah, off the line, he would have killed me, even with a ton of torque, 2.73s and a 2200 stall just isn't enough.

I was going to swap in some 3.42s and get the Hooker headers made for my swap but before I could go nuts with that car, some idiot ran a light and totalled it. :(

I agree...I backed up at a BBQ last weekend and my exhaust met a parking block. Not even a dent in that muffler! :D

you mean KL-ZE..there is no mazda kze motor. I have had the same motor in my ford probe (swapped) you will not see 200hp with just the motor..you need the ze ecu, sensors, wiring harness, etc even then its hard to get the claimed 200hp more like 190-195. I have had a turbocharged kl-ze before and many many ford probes. If you have anyquestions just let me know.. Would still have a turbocharged KL-ze (kl-31) if I didnt get rid of the probes for an STI.

Oops! Yeah, I forgot the L.

190-195 is still more than 170. :nixweiss I'd only do the swap if I needed to replace the engine anyway.
