Anyone have an Acura TL?

Edmund's 0-60 for the TSX is 8.31 seconds. SUV territory. :p

0-60 and braking from 60 are better on a V6 Camry.

Don't get me wrong, the TSX is a very nice car. I just hate high revving, low torque engines.

Were they driving the automatic?

Car and driver got

Standing 1/4-mile: 15.6 sec @ 91 mph

That's plenty adequate for a sub 30k sedan. And when you drive the car its apparent it isn't about straight line.

They also got Standing 1/4-mile: 16.4 sec @ 86 mph for the camry.

Standing 1/4-mile: 15.1 sec @ 93 mph for the mazda 6s

audi 1.8t 5sp 16.2 @ 87

Legacy GT 14.2 @ 96

S40 T5 15.0 @ 97

And then there's the accord coupe Standing 1/4-mile: 14.5 sec @ 98 mph :o That would be my choice.

So it isn't the fastest car but it isn't a slouch. I couldn't imagine the car with a big honking v6. It would ruin it.

My father and I have drove the 04tsx's (auto) as loaner cars, everything about the car is nice except for the power.

I would expect more power from a car that costs around 24k to 28k. I would rather get the accord w/v6 than the tsx just because of the power in the V6. For about 28k I would LOVE the new Subaru Legacy Gt ;)

TW85 HHI,

I believe the 05's now come with Michelins instead of the bridgestones.

Now if they would concentrate more on the build quality it would be one of the best made cars out there for the money IMO. :)

Agreed....for a 30K car, I should not have to be concerned about the transmission.

I agree with everyone on the 'The TSX could use more power' comments, but thats partly because my daily driver is a 350hp beast. Those that are buying the TSX however are not just looking for power, otherwise the would have gone for a V6 accord or Camry. What sells the TSX is the fit and finish of it. The interior is beyond compare with anything other than BMW/Mercedes class cars. The seats are very well padded and hold their shape well, the leather blows away any GM/Ford leather I've seen, the controls are well laid out, and there tons of little 'extras' such as heated seats that come standard. To build an semi-equivelant 4cly with 160hp (vs the TSX's 200hp) Accord would cost in the area of $29K and that still wouldnt include 17" wheels as are standard on the TSX. To go to a V6 Accord would end up costing more around $31K. Compare that to the base price of $27 for the TSX or $29 if you add navigation and its clear which car is the easy choice.

FYI: We walked out with my wifes for only $25K after some negotiating
