Anyone do any experimenting with Natty's Blue AND Red?

Hi,

I just received my Poorboy's order. I ordered both Natty's Blue and Red.

I was wondering if anyone had done any experimenting with both and what the results were...

I think I read on here where someone mixed the two together...

I was wondering if anyone layered the two - and if so, in what order and how it turned out?

And does mixing them together yield a better result than layering them on a black car?

Any input would be welcome!

Thanks as always!

Have you had a chance to apply both of them to your vehicle? If so, could you tell a difference. I'm wondering which one was deeper, and wetter.

Post your thoughts after you use them please.

I think that this may be one of those times that you have to determine what right with your own eyes. This is because it is subjective. I also have a black car and use Poorboys LSP's. I use the EX-P Sealant beacause I am looking for an optically correct reflection. That is what does it for me. I had guys at the Detailing Weekend urge me to top with Nattys Blue. I went home with some but have yet to use it. I love the sealant look. Plus I think it is more durable. Throw it on your car and see what you like. It your car and you need to judge what looks best to you.

In either case, you have some of the finest waxes at your disposal-You can't go wrong.

i think the red leaves a crisper reflection and the blue a deeper reflection. hard to explain really but imo i prefered the blue to the red only because of the paint darkening effect and the depth it added, red is cool to add crispness and glossiness to the paint

Alright,

Well the stuff came yesterday morning and I put them on in the afternoon.

I put the blue on first, and it did a nice job of making the black look deeper.

I then put the red on, over the blue, and it made the black look wetter...

So, I guess by using both, you get the best of both worlds, deeper and wetter.

It was overcast yesterday, so really could not get an idea of what the wax really looked like in the sunlight.

I am going to do the same car - yes, I have two of the same car, lol, today, but I will do a side-by-side comparison on the hood this time of the blue and the red.

Will let you know what I think!

Ok... this is probably not the answer you want to hear, but...

I can not tell any difference... :grinno:

I have looked at it in direct sunlight, in indirect sunlight, and under clouds...

I can tell no difference...

And I am a very anal person... lol

:waxing:

Thanks for testing them. With a properly prepped car I can't tell the difference in most of the products I have. :lol

Are you going to continue to use both blue, and red together, or are you just going to use one of them? lol

Now didn't you said Blue gives a darker look and Red gives a wetter look? LOL

LOL, yes, I did :xyxthumbs

But that was putting the blue down first and then the red over it...

But when I did the side by side, they both look darker and wetter...

I can not see any difference, and neither can a neighbor and a friend - and we looked at the panel every way possible...

I will say, however, that they both make the black look the best out of any wax I have used so far...

Now on to souveran ;)

Do you own Souveran, or are you going to buy it?

If you're going to buy it. Wait until they do a BOGO free deal, because imo it's not worth the 95.00 for one tub. jmo Or buy a used tub. It's a good wax don't get me wrong, but I don't think it's worth the money for one. Again jmo.

I love to layer blue then red.

As he said, the blue makes it darker, red makes it wetter.

2 coats of blue and one coat of red made it through the winter in Connecticut.

Hmmm, I was going to buy it....

When do they usually have a BOGO? :nervous2:

Well, I guess my next experiment is:

Black Hole followed by Natty's Blue, followed by Natty's Red... :D

BTW: I also ordered their Trim Restorer and their Bold N Bright Tire Dressing - and am very pleased with both of those.
