Anybody use this steamer?

I've had my eye on the Desiderio steamer but wanted to see if anyone else has tried it before I buy it. Expensive, but sure would be nice to have all machines in one unit. I sure would like to leave my Mytee behind from now on.

This machine, in a commercial grade, is a 2 stage vacuum, a dry steam vapor cleaner, and an extractor ALL IN ONE UNIT.

I see they cary it over at Kleen Car, but I don't know if anyone else sells it.

Thanks - Ryan

No.

But I have the TR6 Steamer, made by the same outfit...

A professonal, quality machine. But then, at $600, it better be.

I utilize the Vapor Master 3000. Works absolutely awesome!! Heats up quickly, maintains great pressure and has many accessories for cleaning different surfaces. I use it to clean the entire interior from top to bottom. Headliner, Carpet, seats, dash, vents, nooks and crannies, windows...everything. A steamer will be your most used tool and you'll wonder how you went so long without one. I haven't tried the model you reference, but my only advice would be to get a good quality commercial unit. Many models just aren't made to handle the work load that detailers will put them through and chances are likely that these units will peter out after only a few months. Good luck with whichever model you choose. Trust me, you won't be sorry after using one.

This is the notion I'm getting - buy one and never look back. Do you guys thing it would be worth double the price to have a unit that is a vacuum, extracter, and steamer all in one; and supposedly it is designed for auto detailing?

Do you really need to extract the carpets and/or cloth seats when using a steamer?

I already have kick a** vac and blow, a professional extracter (Mytee), and a MONSTER vacuum/extracter mounted in my truck that doubles as a water reclamation system. But if this unit can really do everything, maybe its worth the extra money over the TR6?

It may well be worth it. Me? I'd have to actually use it to become a believer.

The real question is, for me, how to justify putting my two Sensei extractors away...

Any way, check out allbrands.com for their pricing.

My thoughts run along the lines of Jimmy Buffit's. I have a small steamer roughly equivalent to the TR5 and I have a Century extractor. I'm looking into a more powerful steamer and was intrigued by the Desiderio.

While I can sure see the point of combining an extractor and a steamer, I can't help but wonder if that's gonna compromise how well it does each job. And I'm happy with how my currrent extractor works.

I *do* think you oughta plan to use both the steamer *and* and extractor when cleaning carpet/fabrics. IMO being able to suck the stuff up is still important. The steamer will emulsify the [stuff] but then you still want to pull it away from the fabric; I'd rather use suction than just blot it up. Capillary action can only do so much.

Accum and Jimmy...yeah, I think maybe I'll just go for the cheaper ($600) since I already have two form of extraction. Also, you are probably right about the carpets - it is probably still necessary to get the carpets fairly wet so you can actually pull the water/soil out, otherwise the stains will probably come back through the capets too quickly.

Just make sure you get a powerful enough steamer. The one I'm looking to replace cost quite a bit and now it's sorta money down the drain since I want something more.

I own a Desiderio and LOVE IT. It's a necessary part of my mobile detail business.

After removing large objects (quarters, french fries, receipts) with a shop vac, the Desiderio works as a vacuum, steamer, and extractor. Headliner to dash, to console, to leather/cloth seats, to mats, to carpets, it is one tool to professionaly clean them all.
