Anybody try Zaino or Klasse on Granite?

I will be having granite countertops in my new house and was wondering if anybody tried out Klasse AIO or Zaino on these countertops.

I did look up some topics and got some ideas, but nobody seems to have tried out any car stuff on them.

On the back of AIO it says not to be used on porous surfaces.

I love the protection you get from Zaino (haven't tried Klasse yet) and would like to have the same protection on the countertops.

Let me know if anybody tried it out.

Your installer will seal the granite with a product designed for that purpose. It needs re-applications very infrequently, usually once every several years, although you can do it more frequently if you feel the need or are so inclined.

Zaino is designed to bond to the automotive paint, not to natural, polished stone.

I would no more think of using an automotive paint polymer protectant on my granite countertops than I would think of using a marble and granite sealant on my car.

Forget about it. Go with what the experts have developed for these specialized applications.

I'm not sure I'd want to go spreading a product designed for autos on a surface that food will be contacting.

If you wouldn't want it on your food, don't put it on your counters.

We just had Koren (sp?) which looks like granite installed in our kitchen. When we visited the installer he was at work with a PC, foam pads and polish our finishing counter tops. I ask what polish he was using and he said it come in 5 gallon jugs from the manufacture of Koren and if I ever scratch the counter get with him and he would give me some polish.

Corian (I think it's spelled this way) is an artificial material similar to Formica except that the color runs all the way through the material, so it does not show a deep scratch readily. This is why it can be "polished."

It is not painted, nor is it natural stone. I'm sure the manufacturer has developed some mild polishes, but my guess is that they are nothing like the products designed for automotive use. Again, I would suggest that you keep the car care products downstairs and out of the kitchen.

Hhaha. Thanks guys. I was expecting thta. I was kinda thinking along the same lines after i posted the topic. "Does wax and food mix?" I dont think so.

Thanks alot. I will probably stick with stonetech products which were developed for natural stone. And they wont be tried out on my car. lol

Thanks again
